Captain America salutes you.🫡

I had purchased a Hamilton KFA a few months ago on eBay. I ended ip returning it due to concern of it being a fake and because 42mm is far too large on my itty bitty wrist.

I remember seeing that Chris Evans wore this watch as Steve Rogers in The Avengers and even though I’m an Iron Man fan through and through, a JLC, BVLGARI, or whatever else Tony Stark money can buy is a little out of my budget. So I opted for the classic, never fails, Captain America special.

The 38mm fits my wrist so much better and goes with all the extra straps I have that are 20mm.

Good choice going with the 38mm. Perfect size for a field watch.

·

Great choice! Here’s mine, I wear it almost everyday

Great watch. Love the strap you have it paired with.

·

Ok you blew my mind. I had no idea the Cap wore a Hamilton. Wow.

·

It's very hard to find images of him wearing it but according to Hamilton he wore it in The Avengers film. I discovered it right after I purchased mine as well.

Word, I didn't know that either. I wouldn't have sold mine!

I found this picture in my library from last year’s Scavenger Hunt. Maybe I knew subconsciously 🤣

It’s actually the original Hamilton strap!

Apparently it’s in a deleted scene that didn’t make the final cut.

Did not know it came off that reddish brown.

·

Classic field tool, and a nice one at that. Well done!

·

I didn't know Cap wore a Hamilton!!

·

I love the watch, had one for about 5 years. The no AR coating (what were you thinking Hamilton??) finally got the best of me and I sold it. Awesome watch though

When I saw this beauty in a jewelry show room, fourteen years ago, I felt that was "love at first sight". Since that day, has become something very special, much more than a simple machine.

I'm sure that you can understand to me...

Congratulations, dude, enjoy a lot of time that beauty beside you for a long, long time! 😉

I had mine for two years and something went wrong with the movement. When trying to wind, it skips and pops. Take it slow when winding it and let the automatic take over after you get it started. I’ve yet to take it in for service to see whats wrong.

·

Great watch. I have had mine for 7 years (42mm) and it is like a new watch with different NATO straps. For sure a keeper for life!

·

Ive always been a hamilton and Capt America's fan, just imagine how I felt when knowing that Capt wore that after Ive purchased years back ❤️❤️❤️, but i still prefer having it with the original stainless steel, hehe

Two questions I'm curious about:

  • Does the "15" look like it's in the right spot on the 38mm auto, or does it look displaced by the date window?

  • Did you consider the Mechanical as well, and if yes, why did you end up choosing the Automatic?

·

James Mardsen also wore the 38mm Khaki Field Mechanical in Sonic the Hedgehog. Both awesome pieces.

·

Looks beautiful on you. Good choice

·

Tony Stark in The Avengers also wore an automatic Khaki Field but in titanium

Looks amazing! I have the same watch on a very similar strap. Great watch!

·

Currently going through a love/hate relationship with mine! Don’t enjoy it on bracelet, nato, or strap. 🤔

If we only had met sooner. Here I am loving this watch but complaining I should have gone with the 42 instead of 38 😂we could had switched

I’ve had this watch seven months now and am only now starting to like it. Despite what people say I don’t find it to be the strap monster everyone claims. I’ve finally settled on a few straps I like after some searching and now I enjoy it. But it took a while.

💯 it is going back on the bracelet soon! 🤪
