How many watches on vacation?

I just bought a Lorier and it comes with a watch pouch. Makes me wonder if people use them. I’ve never gone on vacation with more than the watch on my wrist. What about you?

If I'm going to a place that has a pool I always take dive watches just so I can get them wet ,so it's 2 watches

·

I normally take three.

1. Dress watch. Typically my Tissot Visodate.

2. Diver. Citizen Promaster or Orient.

3. Citizen Navikawk-AT.

Nothing more than $300 when traveling out of the country. Comes down to personal preference.

An extra watch would be one more thing to forget or lose in a stressful environment. No thank you.

·

Sounds like a fun one coming up

One watch and usually a beater I like so I don't mind if I ding it or it gets damaged/lost/stolen. If I'm on vacation, I don't want to worry about my watch (plus my wife makes fun of me enough now).

Speaking of vacations, does anyone have any recommendations on French watch brands (other than Yema) or ADs/ watch spots in Paris (shot in the dark here)? I'm heading to there in the fall to mooch off my daughter and maybe I'll "forget" my watch so I have an excuse to buy one there.

I took five on my 7 day cruise that I’m finishing up today. Lorier Falcon, Lorier Zephyr (friend’s wedding took place halfway through), Seiko SPB143 on rubber, Formex Reef GMT on metal bracelet and Tudor BB58 on an Erica’s original strap. I could’ve left the Reef GMT and Falcon behind but I didn’t want to. I had fun wearing several watches a day while swapping between meals, pool, lounging, casual and formal occasions. It’s not a big deal to me to have a few to enjoy.

I’m heading on vacation next week and was thinking this today. I’m planning on taking two sports watches. Just to rotate during the week.

Sailing and cooking your catch on deck is about as good as life can get. You’re not getting old. You just know a better time doesn’t involve airports and all those travel hassles. Don’t worry about the GMTs. Why have a three hander when you can have four

I'll take one if it's a weekend. A long weekend 3-4 days. I'll take 2. A week or longer. I'll take 3.

·

Never just one!

Only one and always the same one and on the bracelet

I take a casio and come home with a new watch 🙂

·

I take a watch with 100m of water resistance that is most closely aligned with my plans.

The Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic will cover almost all your bases.

I like to take a "sports" watch (meaning steel, WR- usually a diver or a field) for shits and gigles and I always have a G-shock as a backup. Interestingly, after I feel the need to change to the G (chopping wood or spending the day swimming) I usually dont want to take it off after and keep it on for the duration of the vacation.

Maybe I should only take the G.🤔

1 watch, one of my solar g shocks, lots of functions and ready for everything. I find the stop watch really handy when I'm out walking around, "I'm 15 minutes away from the place ok staying so I can find it easily"

·

Latest vacation was at the seaside so I had my Steeldive Kanagawa willard homage, and I am always carrying the Garmin Epix 2 to track my sleep and running activities. I am trying to enjoy the holidays with little watch obsession.

·

I take watches with these features:

1. GMT

2. 12-hour bezel

3. Alarm subdial that can be used to track second time zone

...usually one of each to match my wardrobe 😁

I just bought a Baltic- very nice. I think they have a storefront in Paris

·

I take one watch, but sometimes take a couple of straps to switch out, depending on which watch it is.

·

I normally take at least one quartz watch, in particular my G-Shock when I'm hiking. There would have to be a special occasion for me to need three watches.

Oh well... Came back from a one week east cost trip and couldn't make my mind... So this box was in my luggage. I was by car so I didn't have to travel super light. For plane I would probably be travelling with two and very low profile ones not to catch thiefs attention. I'd pack my sne573 quartz and probably dresskx but that's depending of the kind of trip. More beach or city oriented hiking etc. I really love to have many straps to change the vibe and look and it is very easy to store.

One watch, with a few quick change straps.
