Surgeon, CMO; Father - rowing a C2 and slide-seat Whitehall. Into measuring time, I wore an Accutron 214 to school, purchased a Seiko 7A48 in '86; an Omega AT 2500 in '04. Recently, confused by Apple Watch, my mechanical bug is back with a vengeance.
Three weeks ago, after watching a YouTube interview with Sir Daniel, I was determined to get the NTTD. Literally, that day, to the AD I went. Don’t ge...
I’ve watched them all but I’m partial to Teddy and Andrew Morgan. As stated above I watch what the algorithm serves but I dropped Theo & Harris and Nico, too judgmental. Harrison’s Chisholm Hunter videography is stunning.

My work craves instant decisions, this leads to an Apple Watch dependency. That dependency is overblown and self-wrought. Wandering into a Seiko AD last year I walked out with a solar diver. A few hundred dollars rekindled the obsession I share with many of you. Now, too many watches later, I ditch the Apple Watch when able and wear two or more timekeepers everyday. I still need counseling for my "close the ring' addiction.
Yes, I was taking the total universe in consideration. The biggest advantage of the newer automatic, column wheel; vertical clutch chrono's is anti-magnetism. Magnets are everywhere now as opposed to the 70's. But for pure heritage and horologic significance the 6138 has it. Except for the Seiko community it is under appreciated.

With the explosion of micro brands and the downward price pressure they apply, a highly accurate, durable and handsome watch is obtainable at less than $1000 in the moment, quartz or mechanical. I'm sporting a Nivada Super Antarctic. With six days of continuous wear - on the way to 30 - it's lost 7 seconds.
I do understand what you're saying. "First" decorates the history of the 6138 and 6139 so many times it's hard to count. On the other hand, perhaps you're just starting and crave precision, why not the Omega 9904?
