Who do you watch? (Pun not intended)

Sitting on the train with nothing better to do and was thinking about who I like to watch on YouTube for entertainment, information, and education. There are a few watch influencers I do love who I watch daily for different reasons, unfortunately the poll only allows 4 slots. But these people have taught me so much about watches. Who do you watch?

Honestly I mostly watch Jody and Andrew Morgan, that pretty much covers me, but occasionally I'll pop in on Teddy

·

Mostly Britt Pearce and TGV, occasionally I watch Bark & Jack

·

All above and whoever that YouTube pushed in the feed. More interested in the watch rather than the personality.

I used to like Adrian's videos for the high-quality photography. But lately, all of his content sounds like a paid advertisement without any objective criticisms. He seems more concerned about protecting his relationship with brands than being honest with his viewership which is a shame. Add to that the not-very-classy replies to comments pointing out that same impression, and the white labeling of Chinese straps to turn a profit... I lost a lot of respect for the person and won't watch this content anymore. 😕

Teddy was the first one I found. He has provided some good information. Including that Nomos uses lice poop in their watches.

I've never heard of the other people in the poll.

You know, I never read the post in a video. It sure shows a lot about him. Since I've never heard of them (other than Teddy) I was going to look them up and check them out. I guess I can leave that guy off my list.

I always liked @benswatchclub , simply because it is often easier to related to watches the everyday person would buy.

·

I watch almost everyone it seems, even @Mr.Santana 😀

I really like Cheap Watch Man, but I fear he may have taken a break. 🥺

This kind of condescending response to long time viewers pointing out the mistrust that is starting to grow in the community after one too many "sell out" sounding video is immature and speaks volume about their real personality when the camera isn't rolling. Real shame to act like that as a human and as a brand. 👎

·

Teddy and Jody are my main two.

·

Marshall on Wristwatch Revival!

·

From that list I like Fed the best. Can't watch Nico. Teddy and Adrian are ok. IDguy is my favorite.

·

I watch Russell, Britt, and Jidy mainly. I like fairly light hearted content.

·

I'm a reader as opposed to a watcher. I don't think I've ever watched an entire YT video. So much sizzle and so little steak in most cases.

I like the news section here.

I used to watch very widely, but these days have focused down to a select few for different reasons.

TGV - the staple. Been watching his content for "donkeys years"

Andrew Morgan - love his dry sense of humour, and his perspectives are often different from the mainstream

Brave Beaters - the videography alone is worth it. But his design analysis is great too.

Peter Kotsa - again, the videography is stellar. He's also a somewhat restrained collector, as am I, so I enjoy his insight.

Fun, affordable - Mad Watch Collector, JOMW, Relative Time, and Just The Watch, have excellent insight into the affordable side of collecting.

Teddy and Andrew Morgan. Occasionally WristCrunch

By the way, Andrew Morgan is the most articulate and clever watch guy — with insightful and very clever turns of phrases and witticisms! Definitely deserves a look by all!!

I watch quite a few channels but Nico is unbearable and unwatchable. I've tried several times but have no idea how anyone could leave him on for more than twenty seconds.

Favorites are Andrew Morgan (and Andrew-era Watchfinder), YoureTerrific, IDGuy and the excellent up-and-comer that is This Watch, That Watch. Teddy is great, too (especially when he's willing to really get opinionated). Jody is great.

About Effing Time was great. Adrian was great but like others are saying, something seems a bit off now.

Some solid choices. Have to agree on Nico - he's insufferable. I find his humour immature and purile, nothing clever, just fart gags whilst trying to be edgy. Andrew Morgan, on the other hand, nails the humour with just the right amount of British sarcasm and dryness.

With this type of support now i have to look him up … thanks for the recommendation

Thank you to everyone who watches my stuff 😁

So much love for you ..: so many great reviews … honored with your presence

Teddy and Federico are great to watch. Nico is mainly entertaining but it’s now mostly hearing him scream anything on his mind gets tiring. Adrian has turned a bit upscaled I guess after being part of AET and similar style of presenting his ideas with Nico.

I’d much rather watch people who take a calmer and more reserved approach to their opinions which is brought by This Watch, That Watch. Swiss Watch Gang is a more energetic approach but really goes deep into unknown watches, also Watchbox Studios is bringing out content similar to what Hodinkee used to be.

Thank you! I've finally found my outlet to vent the stupid thoughts floating around in my head

I very much appreciate it, thank you

To me Andrew is the best. I believe it’s because he understands that watch collecting is a ridiculous hobby but like all of us he loves it. He is very clever, articulate and knowledgeable. I check almost everyday to see if he has new content. If you have never seen his videos you are missing out. Unless you think watch collecting is important, then you probably should stick to O’Leary and be less happy.

I just looked him up on YouTube … excuse me for the stereotype .. but he’s the one with the distinguished voice .. his content is so researched and informed … honored

A and C all the time! Must admit i avoid B 😬

I avoid any Teddy content with O'Leary - dude is not a good guy IMO. I wager O'Leary draws views and thus sales from a more style and flex crowd who view him as someone to emulate as a "shark".

Glad Theo and Harris aren’t getting many mentions here. Talk about a bunch of arrogant little jerks. They realize they are in front of a camera right?

Love all these guys. Teddy probably gets the most views from me - but that’s partly a result of the number of videos he and his team produce.

Adrian has some lovely content, and offers a refreshing take on the hobby. And there’s Max of course, who’s got some of my favourite videos on the platform.

Couple to add to the mix if you’ve not yet come across them:

Bowl of Salmon https://youtube.com/@BowlOfSalmon?si=_loztgd3RaW36u5W

Not in the list but TGV, the GOAT 🔥
