New Birthday Watch!

Arrived just in time for my birthday! I’ve been stalking Constellation Manhattan listings for a long time just waiting for the right one. This one is clean, 33mm (wears like a 35mm - thanks Robert Jan at Fratello for writing about the sizing) and quartz. The crowns on these are delicate and I didn’t want to have to set it all the time and put more wear on it.

I’m not sure how others feel about engraved cases but I love knowing that a watch was chosen specifically for someone. This one is inscribed “Best of Luck 1993 FTO”. I would love to know what FTO stands for! I’m going to make up something so ideas are appreciated!

FTO...perhaps From The Office? "Best of Luck 1993" sounds like a work thing to me, not a loving thing from a spouse or children.

Yep retired 1993 and died 20 years later. Estate sale. I have this in a men’s automatic from about that date. Very versatile watch. Wear it in good health.
