How do you acquire badges?
Make enough comments and show off enough watches and you will acquire WatchCrunch badges? Do you go looking for them or let them occur naturally? (Like how everyone has the Rolex badge but not everyone has a Rolex...)

I don't even know how I acquired a Seiko badge. Still waiting on my Orient badge after making an additional two posts. Close to getting a Rolex badge (don't own a Rolex) and can't remember making that many comments/posts about the brand. The only ones I can count on are my Wristy badges. Not sure what algorithm is being used...it's a mystery.

Fair enough, I can imagine that is a "fun" conversation to have.
In my job I occasionally deal with Code of Service Discipline issues, and it's much the same. Either you admit guilt or go to a summary hearing, there is no magical "make this go away" option.

37 badges and enjoying my modest underachievement given my tenure and general prolificness.

Most were acquired organically and unwittingly. Now I am bored and "collecting" because that is what purposeless people do.
Sometimes I hunt if I'm 2 or 3 shy, I did however go out of my way to get the twitter badge.
I am a mix of each. When I get close I have been known to hunt and/or encourage.
I think I want badges for other people more than myself. You must be close to getting that Pollster Badge. Right? I've got a Troll Poll idea I'd be happy to share.
