I know Phoibos sometimes have questionable releases, but they do make some great watches for the price. Malachite GMT

I went Phoibos. I have had my on a few of their models for a while. Kuoe Kyoto has some good value watches but not anything that seemed very unique.

Yes that’s why i voted phoibos too. Sure Kuoe has all the makings of a star micro, made in japan and classic styling all around, and I do love it as their old smiths line is on my list, but its terribly generic at the end of the day. Phoibos makes fun watches that has a cool kraken logo 😎🐙. They’re not exactly a “factory china” brand too as they just took advantage of good business sense to do an HK based business to keep costs and their pricing down. I love both brands but phoibos for me.

I have experience with Phoibos and they are very well made. The Kuow looks appealing, but very boring.

·

Phoibos has my vote: I own a Reef Master and am impressed by the quality and the looks. The bracelet is probably the best in my collection.

·

Easy .

·

Kuoe all the way. Such beautiful, classic watchmaking. Not flashy, but it’s all about the small details. I’m eagerly awaiting them to release a slightly bigger 36mm or 37mm Royal Smith 🙏 35mm is just a hair too small for my 7.25” wrist.

Phoibos is very cool though.

·

I don't own either but Phoibos has cool designs which I would consider. Sadly, its losing :(

·

Guess that Instagram marketing is working 😂 Like both but Kuoe has def been making the media rounds and awareness is half the battle.

Thanks mate, I also have an Eagle Ray Bronze from Phoibos, a very solid brand ✌️

Tough decision on this one, for me. I like both. Phoibos has a Zelos-like appeal and their divers fit my lifestyle more than the traditionally designed dressier line from Kuoe. Add to that I'm not sure how to pronounce Kuoe correctly... is it koo-oh, cue-oh, cui-oh, or something completely different? I'm going Phoibos, but my choices have been in the minority for most of these matches.

I was surprised by this one, I thought for sure that Phoibos would take this one handily. I'm not a huge fan of the Phoibos watches, but I like the idea behind what they are trying to do. The Kuoe idea of vintage look with quartz movements just doesn't do anything for me.

·

Wonder how many people simply hate the … 🐙…🤣

·

Kuoe due to it coming out the gates into the micro-nrand space and basically releasing one winner after another. Conservative and traditional aesthetics, nothing bold, but if you are into those elements Kuoe is doing so well in making models to meet those aesthetic parameters.

I quite like it tbh. Looks like a great watch to wear when you choose to be a villain for a day 😁

·

I have a Phoibos Diver and it's a cracking watch. Most of the comments seem to favour Phoibos yet it's getting a kicking in the votes?

I like the Japanese micro but Phoibos gets my vote.

·

I don’t know that Kuoe does anything for me … but everything Phoibos makes looks like it was pulled from a Cracker Jack box …

·

If you brand is named "Kyoto" you will create more hype.

·

Looks like we’ll have our 1st upset 🤪(based on ranking)

·

Phoibos got my vote this round, I prefer their design languange, modern yet somewhat vintage inspired

·

Poll closed for this matchup. Congratulations to Kuoe Tokyo!

There was once a video out just specifically for pronouncing Kuoe {koo-oh} but I can’t find it now.
