Maybe an unpopular opinion here but I really just take one watch nowadays. I found bringing several only made me anxious about leaving the pricey ones in an Air BnB house while I was out or only wearing one the whole trip out of convenience.
In a more sentimental sense having only one sort of imbues the memories of the travel into one piece.
I don’t knock traveling with a few watches but I think I’m done with it.

I also usually only bring one watch. Less security risk. Plus by bringing a few quick change straps you can change the look and style of the watch on the fly.
I typically go with something relatively light and unassuming, Unimatic US1-PD5 has been my choice of late. It’s great quality, amazing water rating, and if it’s stolen I would be bummed, but not financially ruined over it.
Last Oct I was in LA for 3 weeks. I brought a bunch: SKX007, Citizen Nighthawk, Orient Bambino, Flightmaster SNA411, DressKX SRPE55, Casio Royale, Casioak, GWM5610.
Went there for my brother-in-law's wedding. Also went to some NBA games.
Depends what on where I'm going. Generally I try to travel with just one. The Hamilton Khaki Auto. If I go somewhere Tropical with beaches, The Balti Aquascaphe on a Rubber strap.
I'm definitely intrigued now why you chose the Orient. Want to know what makes it take the spot next to Rolex :)
Well, for me the Rolex is special occasion wear. So, taking my fiancé out to a really nice steak dinner, for example, warrants the Rolex.
The Orient, a gift from her, has an amazing dial and, I think, I'm hoping to have some sunny days to let the light flash off the sunburst. (I am not a fan of cold gray days.)
The Parnis GMT is just a nice comfortable watch. For mixing it up a little.

You sound like what I would be if I had another carrier! 😂
I typically take four if it's a week long trip which could be a Davosa GMT, Seiko v743 9020 steel dress, Baltany field and a small Casio. But the posts above have intrigued me into just taking one and spend a week being a one watch man. This obviously means I need to buy a new watch that fits the bill! 😁
Woow, looks much more 'expensive', in a good way. To be honest, I am just looking for a pilot style watch inspiration, sooo it's a nice one 🫡😁
If I have any complaints, it would be the quality of the finish on the crown being mediocre, and potentially the blue AR. Which is why I have the black on blue strap. Otherwise, perfectly comfortable (Barton straps are amazing) and does look nicer than what it costs.
I've been collecting relatively inexpensive watches for years. New to watch making though! That's a whole 'nuther deep rabbit hole to fall down! Sooooo many tools...

What’s the one on the wrist? Really nice!

Yeah, I like that one too. It's a Parnis. Sterile, with a Seagull movement.

Thank you for asking this question, it spawned some important thoughts in my mind about my next piece and my collection.
In an effort not to hijack your thread, if we are choosing from your box, I’m going with the Pilot Watch and picking up a MoonSwatch while in town.
My box, probably my Grand Seiko SBGV243 and a G Shock.

If I had a GS, I would be taking that!
But, why the MoonSwatch in Atlanta in particular?
Some wonderful choices.... Have fun and a safe trip
I hope is heated pool.. weather has sucked here last couple of days. Have fun in the A :)
What's the one at 6 o clock at the bottom?

That's a Parnis with a Seagull movement, on a Barton strap.
Well, I travel with four watches and this trip is going to be pretty casual...I will be gone about five weeks...

Actually where I bought mine and it happens to be the closest Swatch boutique to where I live, even bring in another state!
Sentimental. My Father and I went to a Braves game with the family and both picked one up after on that trip.

I don't travel much but would probably go with a gshock for every day wear and something a bit more subtle for going out etc

Just depends where I'm going, what I'm doing and for how long
Gorgeous collection for travel there!
