Last Oct I was in LA for 3 weeks. I brought a bunch: SKX007, Citizen Nighthawk, Orient Bambino, Flightmaster SNA411, DressKX SRPE55, Casio Royale, Casioak, GWM5610.

Went there for my brother-in-law's wedding. Also went to some NBA games.

Divers are robust, timing bezel is very useful for timing things (i'd say better than chronos), no need to worry if it gets wet, easy to read time because divers needs to be legible, any strap would fit it. Just some easy reasons why people would prefer dive watches.

2013 I started collecting exactly 10yrs ago when I can spend my own money. It grew to around 15 in 6 months. 3 of those were gifts. All affordable. I suddenly stopped buying. Kept religiously rotating all. Picking everyday the oldest date on the date window. I always remember that I intended to buy a Citizen Nighthawk back then but did not pull the trigger.

Then early 2023, I started watching youtube videos after videos. That rekindled my itch to buy again. I have 6 new watches this year, the last I bought was a Nighthawk. Plus I digged into my wife's cabinet and found 4 vintage watches she's not using. They're part of my rotation now hehe. I also bought 7 new straps/bracelets to freshen up my collection.

Now I decided to stop buying again. I want to appreciate all of them everyday. I felt satisfied having at least one of each category I always wanted:
