I agree with your points. Heck, I can't even swim so it's not an issue for me. But this is more of an irrational thing- I know logically that 50m WR should be more than enough for a field watch. But I just think that any MILSPEC watch should be at least 100m WR (even if the specifications only call for 50m WR).
I've only been on here a few days. Very informative post and your collection is incredible. We have the same size wrist if you feel you have too many 😂. I had first heard of Nivada Grenchen when reading a book about the Black Dahlia murder and how there was a Croton watch found at the crime scene. Did some interneting and came across the NG Chronomaster and fell in love. I didn't know about the Croton/NG regional branding though- super interesting!
I understand your point about zombie brands trying to cash in on the company's heritage, but Vertex isn't a typically re-emergence though. It was resurrected by the great grandson of the original founder so to me it still has the heritage. Same with Fears for that matter.
