Nivada Grenchen Super Antarctic

I've always wanted a 3/6/9 watch. The Explorer is too popular for my tastes, and the PRS-25 is impossible to get at a reasonable price. I really like the vintage-inspired look and it comes in at the perfect 38mm size.

Absolute with you friend! I'm a big fan of the 3,6,9 dial too, and lost my patience with Smits. I ended up with a Steinhart but the Superantarctic is still very much on my radar - lookinh forward to hear how you get on with it 👌

I picked one up a while back and it is one of my most worn watches.

Same! And I feel like they're underrated where the Smiths are overrated.

I love it. It wears perfectly and the bracelet is really comfortable.

Those are all stunning! Great choices. I definitely have a few other NGs (hello, Chronomaster) on my list to buy and have just added that spider dial because of your pics. The 35mm Eggshells are also looking fabulous.

I've only been on here a few days. Very informative post and your collection is incredible. We have the same size wrist if you feel you have too many 😂. I had first heard of Nivada Grenchen when reading a book about the Black Dahlia murder and how there was a Croton watch found at the crime scene. Did some interneting and came across the NG Chronomaster and fell in love. I didn't know about the Croton/NG regional branding though- super interesting!

If you are into NG Chronomasters, the book is invaluable. It lists all the variations and loads of critical information and data.

NG also did a great book on the Antarctic series:

I actually did download the Antarctic book after I bought my watch. I love that they made these books.
