Go to an ad and put your name on the list you may get a call

·

Ha ha mate the woman said 3 to 4 year wait . I could go chrono24 still pay over the odds but save a bit of money.

·

I have no idea but congrats and enjoy the purchase

·

Thank you for your service my dude! Also good luck sadly. 😅🤏🏻

·

CPO Milgauss gets my vote.

Congrats

·

Couple of thoughts. First Rolex? Go AD if you can grab one of those CPO ones in stock. Have yourself the AD experience. Make them bring a drink out for you. Make it an experience.

Not your first, then get what you want at the best possible price/condition.

Congrats either way

Oh. First rolex…get the sub. Second…Mil

·

Congratulations. I would go CPO, no date sub. We all have mobile phones, so no need for date (or time come to think of it) on a watch (do we even need watches??)

·

I'd go to the AD , explain your situation and why you want one , military experience etc ,I have found Liverpool AD to be the slowest in getting me any Rolex

CPO no date Sub

·

I bought mine in September via a local third party dealer. Of course it was a little bit more expensive but I have not regret a single €. Currently the market is more relaxed it is definitely worth a try to contact a few Rolex AD‘s. Wish you the best luck possible ✌🏼

·

I would say sub unless you're signals. Congrats 💂🏾

·

I rarely shop at an AD and buy online but a watch that costs that much I would pay the extra at an AD for peace of mind.

·

Apparently they're readily available at airports lol I've watched too many YouTube videos but congrats on reserve retirement

Ha ha not a scallyback mate . RA most of my time moved to loggys to finish my last couple of years.

If it’s a sub ur after I would work the AD route. Speak to different ADs, explain your story and wait. However if you are short of time and just can’t be bothered then sure just buy preowned. I think for a ubiquitous watch like the sub, it’s always a possibility to get new.

·

When you have money burning a hole in your pocket, pull out the GSHOCK extinguisher and then relax a minute, think about it. A sub, new at retail, will be available to you within the confines of 2024, if I had to guess before June. While you are waiting marvel at the gshock, its value for money, and then when you get the call, the wait will not only have been worth it, it will have been enjoyable. I wish you a very happy 2024!

·

Id recommend going AD pre-owned, and building a relationship with that AD. You'll also be able to negotiate the price to make sure you don't pay too much over the C24 price.

Watch-wise, I'd get the Sub.

Happy hunting!

Submariner with date, 100% cant go wrong

·

I have done some good deals on Chrono24. Especially though private sellers. You pay though a trusted account witch means you have 2 weeks to control everything around the watch before you money is released to the seller. If something is wrong you return the watch and get the money back. I bought my Submariner 124060 from 2023, 1000 dollar over retail price. Went to a authorised Rolex dealer who found it authentic and in mint condition. I usually do like this when I’m falling for the temptation to buy a high end watch, then I feel a little better about buying something expensive that I don’t really need 😇😂

·

If you buy a Rolex always do it from an AD. Put your name on the list. The waiting time for a black bezel sub isn't that long anymore. Tell the sales person you want it for your special occasion. Might be helpful to receive the call a bit earlier.

If you are willing to spend more than the MSRP of a Sub on the watch I would suggest some other very special pieces you will likely never encounter on the street.

·

I would definitely go to an AD and get your name down. I waited 8 months for my Sub no date I actually thought I had no chance of it ever turning up but was surprised. I think the turnaround time is getting much quicker so worth going!

Get a really Nice $2k watch or two .... Spend the rest on vacation in Argentina.

The wife said something similar buddy 😂😂😂

·

I have my name down for one. These are £8k retail I think.....So

Go to the ad, put your name down and tell them you'll also buy a 3k watch if they can get one to you quick.....(don't buy the 3k watch first, only together)

Then flog the 3k watch.

Youll save yourself a lot of money and get a new watch in the process 👍

·

From those choices I’d go with the Milgauss. It’s such an interesting piece and you just don’t see them very often. Which obviously means you will have to buy used since they are discontinued.

Good luck with your decision!

Find a new AD that lady is a fucking kook. Either that or talk to someone else, tell them who you are and what’s happening in your life and the “why” you want it and what it signifies. Most sales Reps are receptive. I’ll also Add try an AD that specializes in watches and not engagement rings and jewelry. They are not incentivized to sell you trash to get a watch. A standard sub really shouldn’t take longer than 6 months nowadays.

Thanks mate looks like the waiting times are not as long as the AD's make out might try another AD.

As it's a special occasion, I'd go Pre owned for the experience and purchase the Rolex you really want. GMTs are now more affordable, you could consider a batman or Black, black espresso?
