Your Favorite Strap Brand?

Would love to upgrade my strap game this year. What/where are your go-to places? Seems like Vario and Nomad Watch Works are great options, what about others? I’m also open to hearing your specific product recommendations (with pics, of course)!

I really like Crown & Buckle and have bought a few straps from them. (Image failed to load!)(Image failed to load!)(Image failed to load!)

Uh, ignore the weird Opener aircraft. Somehow I accidentally uploaded a pic from last summer as well?

I like Aaron Bespoke from Montreal. His custom made straps are more expensive than off the shelf options, but if your budget allows it's worth checking out, especially if you want something unique.

I like crown & buckle too, also as a big fan of rubber straps (esp curved end ones), i bought quite a few silicone ones and sailcloth hybrid from barton. And vario is quite decent too.

Also bought some from various places like horus and everest... they are bloody expensive though, wont say they arent worth the money but there are more cost effective options out there.

Recently been eyeing on a deployant clasp from artem, seems getting quite a lot of praises.

Just figured you were showing off putting that rugged Vostok into action.

I’ve also had my eye on that sailcloth from Barton. Glad to hear it’s good quality.

What’s been your overall experience with Barton? I’ve considered buying one of their straps, but I see a lot of people talking about them not holding up well over time.

The closest I ever got to that thing was when I snapped that picture. 😂

For the money, i think they are great, at least the silicone variants. With that said they do pick up a bit of dust, in particular the darker ones but not in an excessive way.

I wish they d do some curved end ones.

I‘m a fan of Haveston (www.haveston.com), who sell various WWII inspired NATO straps.

A bit pricier than your average NATO, these have the benefit of being single pass straps with a floating keeper so it doesn’t look too bulky on my skinny wrist.

Funny you should post this. I just got two new straps from Barton Watch Bands in the mail today; a black Horween Rally on which I put my Tissot PR 100 and a Black Italian Suede on which I put my open-heart Islander. Barton Watch Bands is one of my favorite after market companies, and I have numerous different straps from them, including nato, silicon, canvas, and sailcloth, in addition to leather straps. I also like Benchmark Basics, Strapsco and Dassari, and the after market straps from Long Island Watch.

I've bought from Barton,Holbens,Panatime and Vario.

My favorite , however, is Strapcode. Nice selection of quality straps and bracelets.

Awesome thanks. As long as they hold up structurally, I can live with picking up some dust.

Wow! I just went to his website, and there are some beautiful straps there. I really liked the battle leather and the Alcantara options, but they are a bit pricier than the straps I usually buy.

I checked their site out, and I think I may get a Corp. Canvas for my Orient Defender II. I have the tan version, and I think it would look great on the P-42C Camouflage Canvas. Thanks for the tip.

Sorry for jumping in here, but I have a number of them and they have held up well for me. I haven't had any problems with them so far, and I have well over a dozen of various materials that I wear regularly.

No apology needed. Glad to have the input!

Erika's Original MN straps are my favorite straps. They cost more than other MN style straps, but are worth the price.

This is good question. I've been generally happy with Vario and Barton, but I need to branch out more. Following this thread for ideas. 😀

What have been your favorites from Strapcode? I’m only really familiar with them from Seiko replacement bracelets. Have you tried anything else?

Tons of stuff.

Dig deeper into their website for choices beyond brand specific listings. It can be confusing at times.

I have bought bracelets and leather and rubber straps.

These are Strapcode straps that I have.

For natos I have been pretty impressed with BluShark, although I want to try out phenomenato. I have crown and buckle Perlons that are very nice  For leather I don’t have a specific brand, but I like to look on Etsy. Lots of great designs and you are supporting a small leather worker
