They’re charging more for the tech in the new watches. I’m glad they’re still also releasing watches without the in-house movements, which keeps the prices reasonable. (similar to the approach Grand Seiko is taking with their new movements and old)
Owning this Hölstein 2021 Edition, I can tell you this feels solidly built and above the quality of their current models from a movement perspective. The exterior feels as solid as always.
Totally agree with you here. I’m happy Grand Seiko is moving the power reserve to the back on some newer models. The new 5-day Spring Drive movement was built to allow it to be shown on the front or back. looking forward to seeing more dial designs with the new movement.

Love the blue. It may be nicer because higher contrast between the pad printed numerals and the dial. Plus the display caseback. Hoping they do more dial colors and maybe even bronze, for those who want that.
