Grand Seiko is a great choice if you are looking for a brand that offers superior value retention. As I'm sure you already know, predicting the price and direction of a used watch is the same as investing in a stock. You have access to the same background information as everyone else so the best you can do is make a guess based on probabilities. With all that said, just buy a watch if you will wear it and enjoy it. If you get back your money it's just icing on the cake.

Totally agree with you here. I’m happy Grand Seiko is moving the power reserve to the back on some newer models. The new 5-day Spring Drive movement was built to allow it to be shown on the front or back. looking forward to seeing more dial designs with the new movement.

Note sure these will greatly appreciate but the new limited edition Hi Beat GMT in titanium is going for $8.5k at retail.  I think these will seem like bargains in a few years.

That LE is gorgeous. If I didn’t have this, I would be looking for that one. Agreed on that one being sought after.

I love the blued hands against the silver dial.  However, I wonder how easy it is to tell the time with the Zaratsu polished min and hour hands against the dial.

Great piece to have in the collection.
