One could say it’s a lasting gift from the pandemic lol. I got bored with my normal YouTube content and stumbled upon the beautiful and despicable world of watches, bought a few Casios and never looked back!
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
The first watch I remember owning was a G-Shock GW5600 that I wore during my time in the Navy.
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
I inherited my Grandfather’s Technos mechanical watch that he wore while fighting through North Africa, Italy, France, Belgium and Germany in WWII. It doesn’t work and desperately needs servicing, but it has more sentimental value for me than any watch I own or will ever own!
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Fight the temptation to “scratch that itch” and give yourself enough time to save and research before buying that next watch. A lack of impulse control comes off as childish and unhealthy! (I need this advice more than anyone 😂).
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Honestly, Tag Heuer (please roast me).
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
As of right now, I don’t know. If I had to pick one, I’d say a white dial Omega Seamaster Professional 300. It’s instantly recognizable and the white dial is killer!
