What are your thoughts on Richard Mille brand?

I am curious about this topic. I know Jay Z wears them, Rafael Nadal..... They are insanely expensive but they are just to flashy for my taste. There is not a single model that I like.

No diss to the brand and craft. Like I said this is just my taste.

Looks like a fusion of invicta and hublot with better complications for a lot more money.

I’m really glad they exist; to me it shows money can’t buy taste :-)

·

Just ask producer Michael what he thinks of them.

·

Nothing about them that appeals to me.

·

Not a fan but it has somehow cemented itself as a status symbol for the wealthy. I understood that due to the nose powdering habit of the founder and irregular behaviour they aren't as popular as they used to be. But apparently there's still a demand, so good for them I guess.

·

They are a remarkable piece of engineering but the watch is not for me.

·

Yeah—I’ve never understood the appeal. Why would I turn over my life savings for a glorified Invicta?

·

My opinion is: no.

·

Mechanically formidable, aesthetically challenging.

Fugly....

I couldn't have said it better! 👏

Assuming they bought them and weren't a promo gift...

·

I see them more as a form of pop art than anything else.

·

A bit too flashy for my taste. Okay a lot too flashy actually.

·

I think that model is out there. But I like RMs. I’d love a RM 029

It really seems to me that Richard Mille just has too much of the brutalist aesthetic to appeal to a wide audience, and it really doesn't appeal to me.

·

All those bright primary colours makes me think of street signs, road markings and red lights.

It's like a traffic jam on a wrist.

Someone might enjoy it. But not me.

·

Very very expensive Invicta watches.

·

Some are cool, but lets be honest, they look like Happy Meal toys.

·

Taking the idea that watches are jewelry to new heights - and particularly appealing, I would wager, with people who know nothing about watches at all.

Well, at their price, they do not need a large audience. 😉

·

Gave it a day, still not for me lol

·

The most hidious watches I can think of 🙈

·

I don’t like that at all

·

I think they do look pretty out there. I admit the marketing has probably influenced the way I view the brand but they do offer a very unique product in a sea of more traditional stuff with actual high end watchmaking thanks to Renaud et Papi. Would I wear one though? Probably not, I think I would be too fearful to wear half a million on my wrist that is so easily recogniseable.

·

There really is no better way to say "I have too much money and absolutely no sense of taste." If that is the message you want to send.

happy meal toy

I agree

·

I think I’d miss the last train after a few beers!

·

🤢🤮🤮🤮

·

They look like have Bluetooth and a built in smart tv remote

I suppose there’s not really an abundance of rivals at that price point (at least that would appeal to a similar demographic), somethings gotta cost half a million dollars

Ugly as hell . . . mostly for celebs to wear at the Met Gala while dressed up as a sequined spider monkey. And the "red carpet" might be the only safe place to wear one . . . you're gonna get robbed the minute you leave an event with that thing.
