Does anybody know of any other watches that similar in diameter (35-38 mm) and in this dial color, but that don’t break the bank?

Above is a picture with a Mondaine Retro 28 mm watch in a white dial. But I think a maroon dial on a watch would of sealed the deal on the outfit.

I am not sure what your budget is, but here are 3 other options from Seiko that might fit what you're looking for:

SARX089 (SPB227)

Okay, the catch with this one is it is 39.3mm, but if you're wanting a stainless steel bracelet this might be the closest you can get to the King Seiko quality-wise. Gnomon Watches has it for $760 right now.

SRPE41

If a stainless steel bracelet isn't important to you, this one is 38.5mm, although styling is a bit different with numerals instead of indices. Teddy Baldassarre has it on sale for $340.

SRP853 (SRRY027)

This one might be harder to find, but it should be going for somewhere between $300-$500. It's a little smaller than your parameters at 34mm, but color-wise I think it might be most similar to the King Seiko.
