Tudor Black Bay 58. What are your expectations from Tudor this year?

The Black Bay collection has been a favorite among watch enthusiasts since its debut in 2012, and for good reason. It offers a great blend of classic design and contemporary technology, making it a timeless piece for any collection. The line also boasts a variety of options, including different case sizes, colors, and materials.

Although Tudor introduced new models such as Ranger and Pelagos last year, the Black Bay collection remains the flagship line for the brand. However, some people are starting to get bored with it, and they are hoping to see something new from Tudor this year. As a brand with a rich history, Tudor has the potential to surprise us with exciting new announcements.

What are your expectations from Tudor this year? Do you think they will only add new Black Bay models, or do you believe they will introduce something entirely new?

I'm typically never really sold on more major brands designs (Rolex, IWC, AP, Longines, Breitling, etc.) But Tudor has always stuck out to me, several of their models have. I still have my sights set on an FXD, but the North Flag is also on my radar. Great watches.

I’m anticipating more Black Bay models because apparently there aren’t enough. If it ain’t broke, they’ll break it anyway.

Then I anticipate more discussions about how Tudor are the new Rolex, because that never gets old.

Well they haven't done a steel 58 since the blue in summer 2020, so I feel like that is in the cards. I think they will leave the Pelagos line as it is for the moment as they surely don't want a blue 39 yet what with the FXD being fairly new. I was shocked they didn't release a new North Flag last year considering the integrated bracelet world we are living in. So yeah North Flag and new colorway of steel BB58

·

I expect the Black Bay steel to get the same upgrades as the S&G line last year, including the addition of a 39mm version, which I'm excited to see. I can't really predict much beyond that. Maybe we'll get a blue Pelagos 39. The Black Bay diver (41mm) line seems due for an update, but maybe that's just me.

Some the BBPro is supposedly the Rolex Exp 1655, maybe a polar version of that.

Personally I don’t even see the resemblance apart from the steel bezel. But that’s just me.

If they dont update the steel BB36/41 with the inhouse mvt (and the slighr dial design change that usually goes when dropping ETAs), then I really dont know why they bother with W&W. Not even sure about the T-FIT on these, and I really dont think we'll see the T-Fit on the BB58s.

I can see a polar dial for the BB Pro later this year, not just now. Lets see.

Can we get a BB58 GMT with a Pepsi bezel in a slimmer case please?!?!?!?

You won't unfortunately because the movement is too thick

I am hoping for a polar dial after seeing the renderings people have created. With the S&G 58 getting the in-house movement, the steel will most likely get the same treatment this year.

Beautiful! What's the strap?

Beautiful! What's the strap?

It's our Two-Stitch Green Reversed strap 🙌

I don’t think they will ever do a non-gilt black due to the Sub likeness. A steel bezel or date would be neat on the 58, but the more I think about it, the more I feel like they are going to keep the 58 steel models to the two current choices.

For me, I hope Tudor finally sends mine back to me after having it since early December for a regulation.

I would think the clasp will get an update to T-Fit on the BB 58 and maybe one new colour way.

I don't think it will be a green, the Harrods version covered that. Perhaps a BB58 Polar dial ??

You won't unfortunately because the movement is too thick

Hopefully they (Kenissi) are working on new thinner movements for their 39mm GMT’s.

I suspect they are listening to customer feedback.

One day, in the not too distant future, a reissue of the Submariner 🙏

I don't think so as they have fitted the thicker MT56 series GMT movement to the Black Bay Pro

Please tell us about that strap.

That's our Two-Stitch Green Reversed strap from our Reversed Leather Straps collection. Reversed leather straps have this beautiful distressed texture, which can give the vintage vibe to a modern timepiece.
