Looking for a Swiss diver!

Im looking for my first Swiss diver but I got some requirements for it.

-I want a black or blue one so that should be easy

-around 40mm

-it has to have a date (3 or 6 o‘clock)

-4hz

-min. 100m WR

- up to 3000€/$ but can be 1000 too so it doesn’t have to be using all the budget

I got some examples of watches I really like.

These are on my radar let me know if I missed a few great ones

This one is like 43mm that’s to big for my taste

Sadly doesn’t come in black

I really love This one but it doesn’t have a date

I have considered it and I really like it but I think I like the versatility not having an integrated bracelet so I can switch it up once in a while but to be honest it goes on the list :)

Makes sense the integrated bracelet does limit you! If you are willing to look at the gray market or preowned to keep in budget I think the Tudor Black Bay line would not disappoint!

In-house movement with 70 hr power reserve is pretty sweet.

You could pick up a Steinhart. German company with Swiss movements. They make great watches:

This model is 39mm and comes in 904L steel. I’m actually selling mine and if you’re interested, PM me:

For around 1 K the Certina DS Action Diver 38mm in steel or Titanium

Or in 43mm

The Mido Oceanstar line

Image

Be aware.

All these has 3Hz. I picked them though because you picked aswell several 3Hz watches as Rado Captain Cook and Certina PH200.

For around 2K or less the Longines Hydroconquest

Image

For around 3K the Montblanc Iced Sea. In my opinionzhe best and coolest diver watch in this price range an beyond.

There are a lot of great choices here, but for me it’s the Oris, and it’s not even close. It’s got a date, which I don’t love, but it doesn’t shout at you. And to me it’s just a great looking watch.

·

Doxa 200 or 300. Got a quite few variants and there is glit version in the Doxa 200T.

·

Rado is the best from what you posted, Oris not bad on second place. Squale is so-so, Certina lacks in finish departnemt and bezel action is rubbish ( only looks good on photos ).

I would definitely look at Longines Hydroconquest for more modern or Legend diver for vintage look/feel, great alternatives imo

·

What about Mont Blanc.

Lots of good options posted here, the Montblanc seems very pricy for a watch with an SW200 though🤯

I second the Doxa recommendation: Sub 600T, Sub 300T, Sub 200

For me there is only one that ticks all the boxes except the date.

I love what Farer is doing with their colors but I think daydate is a bit much I’m very annoyingly particular about my date complication😅

·

I’ve never thought about breitling because I thought meh big chronos but I got a lot to learn aparently. It’s on the list thanks 🙏🏼

I don’t really like the looks of certina and longines but the Mont Blanc goes on the list 🤝

This Black Bay may be an option for you within budget if you can haggle a preowned model.
