Inspiration small watches (34-37mm)

I really enjoy small watches and my collection of watches is unfortunately only a few. I’m interested in getting inspired however and saving/look out for different kind of small watches that I might purchase in the future or just to be on the lookout for. Could you share some inspirational images or name models of small watches (34-37mm) that you might own/have or maybe watches that you are curious about buying? Please feel free to share your thought, ideas and photos of watches in your collection if you do have any!

IMO vintage watches look great in the smaller sizes no matter what size of wrist they are on.

This Seamaster from the 70s is probably the coolest watch I own. Whenever I wear it, I always get asked "where did you get it?"

Amazing, it really is beautiful! If I may ask, how much did it cost you and what serial nr is it?

I bought it for £500 & when I received it I thought it was fake. The serial number for it starts 166.0174 & I couldn't find any great info on it. Anything I did find suggested it was a Geneve rather than a Seamaster.

I sent it off to be serviced, making my concerns known, but when I got it back they informed me that all was good with it, nothing in the movement, hands, bracelet etc that wasn't genuine. I'm not convinced that it is a Seamaster. I think it may well be a Geneve that has had the dial replaced with an old stock new part dial. Even if that's the case I don't care as it's such a cool looking watch & one that I'll never sell anyway.

I’ve wanted to get that prx with green dial for a while know, but it’s a bit above my budget. I tried the green quartz in a watch shop and it was such an amazing fit, how is the automatic one? Is it comfortable wearing? It looks stunning I love the waffle dial….

That Seiko Dolce 34mm… wow! Could you share the reference nr? I have to lookout for one of those it look stunning on your wrist, such a small and elegant look🔥👌🏼

Here’s my 33mm Hamilton 9415a from the late 90s. Love the size and the manual wind movement.

I tend to like more classically-sized watches (but mostly of modern manufacture) I have several sub 38mm in my collection. Some you might like:

Smiths Everest Expedition - 36mm. They have a couple of more old-school Explorer-like dials in this same case as well.

Image

Lorca Model 1 GMT - 36mm, 37 at the bezel. There are few GMT watches at this size (Farer has a version of their Lander IV GMT in 36mm)

Image

Baltic MR01 - 36mm. A modern twist on a classic look. Cool micro-rotor movement. I like the warmth of the hesalite crystal (but YMMV).

Image

Lorier Falcon ii - 36mm. I like the waffle dial texture. Also has hesalite crystal which I think adds to the charm. This version is discontinued. The Falcon v iii keeps the waffle texture, and changes the dial to a more 3,6,9 explorer layout.

Junghans Max Bill 34mm manual wind, I love this one!

Camy Challenger

Camy Club-Star

Here are some that are smaller, both ±30mm respectively.

Where did you source that antarctic spider😍 have my eye on the reissue

The Auto is only slightly thicker at maybe 1mm, but nonetheless wears really well and amazingly comfortable. The only reason I got the auto is for that waffle dial, as I already have a sunburst green watch. The Dolce ref# is SACM150 I believe, high accuracy quartz +/- 10 secs a year and a beautiful goldflake dial for 300 is a steal! Not to mention the 5mm thickness

It was a lucky pawn shop find. I restored it myself, which was little more than a service and new crystal. The watch has one or two battle scars from its past life, but it's in great condition overall considering its age.

The spider (triangulation) dial is very rare. I have only seen two others on the internet. I want to track down a period bracelet for it too for added effect.

I hear that the reissue is well-executed, but I'm hesitant to buy one due to size. I love how the watch looks on me at 35mm and 38mm is actually rather large for me personally, because I just love smaller watches.

If you want to track down another original, you have a lot of work cut out for you, ask me how I know.

Just arrived! Lovely watch and super quality, but feels way dinky at 35mm with 41mm lug-to-lug. Then again, looks okay in the photo (I think), so maybe the “it wears small” narrative is all in my head 😄
