First new watch of 2024
It’s funny, I’d never heard of this watch a few months ago. Then my friend showed one to me in his shop. (He ownes a watch shop). I kinda dismissed it when he told me it was quartz. Then I read up on its story, saw some videos on YouTube and kept seeing it pop up on pictures here on WatchCrunch. Next thing you know it’s on my wrist.
It’s even cooler in person than it is in pictures.

I always think about selling mine and then I put it on and maybe swap the straps and I’m back into it.

It looks awesome on that strap. I’ll be getting a new strap for sure.
This is one of the best watches you can get under 700 with its movement, history and design, have the blue one myself

You're off to a great start, my great watch is a omega speedmaster moon watch but historically speaking the bulova was the first to actually walk on the moon but either way beautiful watch 😍
Nice watch. If you are going quartz then you cannot really beat the precisionist beating at 262 khz what with its accuracy and the sweeping seconds hand.
I have been toying with the idea of adding this to my collection. Looks great and has real provenance

Yeah, 262 kHz is pretty impressive. And I’ve probably been missing out by dismissing quartz for so long. I think this is the first quartz I’ve purchased since I got into watches in 2002.

All I want is for Bulova to make a 38mm Lunar Pilot so I can wear one! The "reduced' model brought it down to what, 42? 43mm? My wrist is 6". 🤦🏽

Yeah. The reduced is still big, at 43 mm. A little smaller would be perfect.
