Least favorite Brand.

What is your least favorite brand of watches that a lot of other people love? Also, why? No holding back here I want to see some bullets fly in the comments. Let's have some fun!

I'll start it off with mine. Its Seiko. Sorry Seiko lovers I used to love Seiko but they've gone downhill for me. They've discontinued some of their best and most popular models or the raised the prices on others and the quality has gone down.

Breitling. My boss has a Navitimer and it’s huge. He can’t button his shirt cuff. I haven’t seen one that I like.

·

Casio...

When I was growing up Casio was the brand you bought if you wanted a calculator watch, or you were too poor to buy a Timex. These days people pretend cheap Casio watches are "iconic", but that's like arguing that the K-Car is "iconic".

Sure it's "of it's time", but that doesn't mean anything positive. Wind breakers are "iconic" 90's fashion, but I don't see people rushing out to buy them. The Casio fixation is entirely an influencer created trend, apart from G-Shocks, which have always had a cult following.

Way overpriced for what they are. I love some of their dials but the size of these things.... They're ginormous.

2 brands. Starting with R and T.

😁

Christopher ward. Everyone seems to be all about them lately but they have never really resonated with me. I don’t like their name or their logo.

I do like the G-Shock CasiOaks. I have a World Timer I wear to work aswell. I'm a janitor. Wether I agree or not I love this. You can't pay for reviews this honest. Cheers!

I kinda agree. I don't hate Casio at all. However, I feel the brand is used by influencers who normally cover luxury brands as a way to say, " look at my Casio, I'm not a watch snob". A lot of channels did tier lists recently and they all spoke highly of Casio while struggling to justify ranking other "middle level" and affordable brands.

I love my Seikos ❤️😤

this is exactly what I had in mind. These reviews are going to be hilarious.

Invicta. Cheaply made, too big, gaudy beyond words. But you can get 3 for the price of one on Home Shopping Network.

I don't really hate Casio, but I hate the silliness that seems to go with them.

The AE1200 is a great watch, very much like the Timex Atlantis that I love.

I couldn't agree more. Both of these brands have like 1 model I would consider owning and they are way overpriced. But there are some die hard lovers of these brands and Im like.... why?. I can't stand listening to Kevin O'Leary talk about the more expensive one. On the other hand I can listen to him talk about Omega all day. For the price I'd rather go with that brand all day over T and R.

I agree 100%.

Influencers use Casio as a way to pretend they are the "everyman". The whole "God Tier" silliness is disgusting...

The F91-W isn't a classic "80's" design, it was released in 1989. The Timex Ironman, Atlantis, and Casio G-Shock square are more authentically "80's". The only thing Casio has going for it is that they never updated their cheap watches, so they are still cheap.

·

"Clomage" brands. Yes, I know not everyone can afford or even will to spend over a certain amount for a watch. I get it. I'm not worried Rolex, Tudor, Seiko or any other big brand that get cloned by Alix brands gonna be hurt. However... these companies are know "clomaging" microbrands, including but not limited to: Christopher Ward, Serica, Unimatic, Baltic. These are companies trying to grow, mostly on cult following... cult followings that are earned by design, build quality and service. Undercutting small brand in a touch market like watches is just low.

I understand your perspective, but to me it absolutely is iconic. I never was much into watches as a kid, but the only watch I did know was the classic f91w. I saw it on so many people’s wrists that I had no choice but to be aware of it! While everyone wearing the same thing can be a gimmicky trend, once it’s stood the test of time the way Casio has, it becomes a classic.

Where I lived it was Timex, mostly Ironman and Atlantis. I vaguely recall square Casios, but they weren't really that popular in my area.

·

Rolex. They seem unimaginative, completely pretentious, overpriced, and coasting on their name.

Subliminals aye?

·

Christopher Ward for me, their design doesn't appeal to me.

·

Hamilton. I don’t like their lugs. Otherwise nice watches.

·

Richard Mille. Design language doesn't speak to me, but each to their own.

·

Modern Rolex. Hideous hype. Vintage and Neo vintage different story

·

Christopher Ward, hands down.

·

Panerai...just don't like the look

·
AuthenticSeyko

Hugo Boss/ Micheal Kors/ Diesel/ Armani Exchange/Fossil. Mostly derivative and meant to make Macy's 5 bucks on the way to a landfill.

Not all Fossil's I hope 😉😁

We have a Fossil outlet near us. The kid has several, and yea, more than one FB-01 has snuck into my watchbox!

·

The obvious answer is rolex so I'm not gonna choose that

Casio fanboys can be annoying, but the watches themselves are great and I do like the brand a lot.

Seiko. Hate to say it but they are ass. Terrible qc, overpriced. They used to be great but they've taken a turn for the worse the moment the 5 shield became 5 sport. But the community gaslit themselves into denial. If another brand pulled the same shit they'd be roasted

Also not a fan of zelos's designs but especially not their now or never buisness model
