GRAND SEIKO ENDLINKS

Calling all Grand Seiko lovers and experts. I got this watch about a week ago at my AD and noticed that same day this gap between the end link and the case. I went the next day and asked if it was normal and they said it was. I don’t think that’s very normal for a $6600 watch. I’ve seen other pictures and I do see a small gap but not this big. Pls let me know if this is normal or a bent lug.

My Presage has that same issue, my recent and more affordable quartz does not. I would not accept that answer for a Grand Seiko.

Damnn 🙌🏻👌🏻

I love GS but I wouldt accept that.

Is it the same gap on both sides? My gs quartz has no gap.

I Have two GS and neither have a gap like that,

has the bracelet been swapped at the store? It doenst look like the correct bracelet to me the end links are too short.

That's a terrible photo by the way, do you have anything a bit clearer?

I checked with my 3 GS watches purchased during the past 24months, end links fit tightly to the head of the watch.

·

Definitely not normal. I have the same watch and it looks nothing like that.

As per @Zetaplus93 comments. This is definitely not right. I tried one on new in Italy and as you can see no glaring gap between case and bracelet. Of I was you, I would be seeking refund or problem sorted

Either a general fault or a bent springbar?

I have two GS and none have any gap. Not even close.

I’ll add another pictures in a bit but the bottom endlink does not have that gap

Definitely keep at them. It’s quite a pricey watch and I’d be pissed if they said this is normal.

And if they keep insisting this is the case, then GS quality has really gone downhill since the last time I had one 5 years ago…

A Grand Seiko’s fit and finish needs to be Superb! There is no exception. That AD is either an Amateur or he’s full of sh#%. I’m sorry to be honest like this, but that watch did not leave the factory like that.

·

Did they have to adjust bracelet length for you (removing/adding links)? I had similar case with TAG Heuer after service and turned out when fitting bracelet they bent a pin holding end link fixed to lugs. Was replaced and fits perfectly now.

Just a guess, but I think for GS it’s not acceptable

·

Defect or no, I will not buy another GS until they improve their bracelets.

·

@gizzhead do you have?

·

@abelBGNR mine doesn't have a gap this big at all
