It was the right thing. I have been in your situation(in my case an engagement ring) where I felt unsure. Ended up finding an even greater one a week later.
You will find the right one for you. Maybe it will be the Pelagos 39 or maybe another one. Never let FOMO push you into a purchase. They will always have a P39 again soon if you decide to go for it.
