My journey so far
Hello everybody.
I am pretty new to this whole watch thing. I have been interested in watches since I was little, but the fire was lit about 6 months ago. I was about to get married and I wanted a wristwatch for the wedding. I started looking and fell into the rabbithole and started reading, watching videos, looking at and trying on a ton of watches.
I started an Insta account to share my journey with some friends and fellow watch enthusiasts. Then I found this site, a haven. I have put together a small collection of some of the watches I have tried on so far. These are the ones I could imagine having in a hypothetical collection and actually afford on the long term. In no certian order, I share with you my list, in no particular order.

Those are all nice watches, but you do not have to buy them all right now. Your tastes will change and you should allow more time (many years) to develop it. Six months is such a short time. Spend more time with the couple pieces you have. Too many folks dive in, over extend themselves, and burn out quickly, especially when trying to sell them at a fraction of the cost.

Thank you for the advice and I agree, 100%. This is only a hypothetical list of watches I wish to aquire over a period of 10-15 years, maybe longer as I have to save for a long time to afford a watch. I know the list will change, but I love dreaming and making hypothetical lists anyways. Then time will show what will be possible.

Awesome. Pick one and work towards it. We all love to imagine what our box will have in it.
Great prospect list. But like said above, don’t rusch. Your taste will develop over time.
