Vacheron Constantin Overseas 34.5mm

When Vacheron launched this, I immediately told my CA I was interested because of my tiny wrists. But when it finally arrived and I tried it on, it’s honestly underwhelming.

Yes, it looks perfectly sized on pictures but it really looks too small in person.

I don’t think it looks really good in person, it wears closer to a dress watch.

So I turned down my CA on this piece because I didn’t like the sports look but dress wear combination.

What do you guys think of the 34.5mm overseas?

I think it would look fantastic on my wife’s wrist

·

I didn't realize they made watches that small

My sis in law is not a giant slender wrists but she decided that life is too short went shopping for a rose gold Patek dress watch, 36mm with a diamond bezel. There was a smaller model probably 34mm that the sales agent/owner claims nobody buys. I have no experience with rose gold Pateks or VC Overseas but I have owned a lot of watches that size is nothing I have looked at for a long time.

I kinda think the bezel is too wide for the size. It forces the dial to be too small and out of proportion to the case/bezel dimensions.

Otherwise it looks perfectly proportioned on your wrist. Just not enough presence from the dial.

It looks fine in the photo. However, I don’t think the price is right for a 34.5mm. I always thought its a bit pricy. I think you’ve made the right decision by turning it down.

Love it. I think any larger and your wrist will be overtaken by the watch. I like it on your wrist. Hell, I like the watch and I’d get the watch even with my larger wrists (I would just get it in pink gold instead of steel)

I get the feeling though, you want a large watch so that it feels, “here is my VC”. The smaller “dress” proportions you feel it has makes the watch disappear on your wrist (when it comes to perception as to what others are seeing). I get it. But I like that feeling that the watch just blends with your fit rather than is your fit.

Also, I think if you spend too much time on this app or in the watch world you get tainted with the men’s vs women’s size debate. No rules man. No rules.

Been there, done that.

I ordered this model because I thought 4500V was too large for my tiny wrist. When the watch arrived, tried it, it’s so small. And the proportions are weird in a way I cannot explain. So I went with 4500V (well 4520V) instead.

Only if they make 37 😔

I think it looks perfect on your wrist…maybe you like bigger watches?

This! I still need to try on a 4500v, but fear its l2l will make it too large a wear for my wrist. A 37/38 would be perfect.

They have the 222 in that size. 🫠 which they refuse to sell.

The dial is going to be tiny af on that one. The real issue I have is the movement. It is too damn small. Look where the date window is, this isn't a Tissot PRX where I can just let it slide. You are literally paying tens of thousands of Euros for details like that. If the movement was bespoke to that watch, the window could be large, the bezel could be a touch thinner, the proportions would be better. The 4500V does it correctly. The 222 does it correctly. This one ...

·

I also have tiny wrists and I think it looks perfect on you, at least in terms of size. The watch itself sure looks underwhelming but the size is great.

·

I dunno, it looks nice on your wrist. Classically proportioned and classy but everyone have their own tastes. The watch looks nice though.

Give it a try! The 41mm is not that bad. It will look big but not toooo big but still big 🤣🤣🤣

This is what it looks like on my tiny 16cm wrist size.

That's not bad actually! My wrist is also right around that size and it doesn't look too big there! How is it on the bracelet?

You can see my WRUW, I have photos there

·

I like it a lot more than the 41mm but I’m bias 😜

I like a bit larger watches but with this brand I would happily take the smaller size as well 😊💯👌
