NATO, steel or rubber

I’m curious about what straps you guys use the most. I’m thinking to replace some of my straps with nato straps, but I’m not sure about it. Do you know some good brands for nato straps?

this is not my own picture by the way

Mostly rubber.  Resistant to sweat and skin oil and easy to clean in the sink while doing dishes.

That’s a good one, I didn’t think about dirt. I don’t think that it is good for the strap to put it in the washing machine 😂

Erika's Original MN straps are by far the best straps I have ever used.

They aren't cheap, but they are the most comfortable, and durable straps out there.

I find rubber straps are like leather, they never fit perfectly.

I hate the way NATOs wear. I don't like the extra bulk and I haven't found one yet that really does it for me in terms of feel. I'm a rubber guy mainly and a bracelet guy second.

But, I don't view an Erika's Original type strap to be the same as a standard NATO. Those types of elastic straps are not bulky, fit your wrist perfectly and are super comfortable. I have 3 of my watches (out of 11) on those straps and I love wearing them.

Wow, those are some really great straps! Might be adding a few to my set.

I've had several watches where I swap straps. But in my current collection they are more locked in. One on the bracelet, one on leather, one on nato. I wanted a rubberstrap in yellow to replace the one I have in black for the last one, since it's a diver. But I'm probably gonna end up with a marine national strap since I can't find the perfect yellow rubberstrap and I historically have not been a big fan of rubber....

Huh, what was the question again 😅

Love Geckota/Zuludiver for NATOs. CWC makes nice singlepass NATOs in many colors with options for hardward. Cheapest Natos is OK to.

I'm a bracelet guy, have a few rubbers and some lether but prefer stainless!! Feel like I just answered some unasked questions😎

Wrist Candy Watch Club makes great NATO's the first one I bought from them has lasted me six years so far. My most recent one is still in the box since I haven't needed to swap yet. I prefer leather straps for my day to day since I work in a little bit of a formal environment. But recently I've been going to a more sporty styled of leather straps since it matches the theme of my work. I do not like rubber straps they feel odd to me but I do have some watches that use them and I got used to it. Steel is also nice for everything from formal to everyday but I just like leather a bit more. I have the receipt for the leather straps I use somewhere but I do not remover the name of the maker off the top of my head. Will get back to that for you soon. Awesome watch and NATO btw!

I just find them fiddly to put on and take off.  Maybe I'm missing a trick.  I've started using the Zuludiver octopod which is a similar vibe but with a deployant.

I tend to like fabric; Mankey Designs, Erika's, and GasGasBones.  I do occasionally wear Natos, but with the 2nd layer cut off.

Rarely bracelets, except for the Bonklip on my Serica, that thing is wild, mostly Isofrane for rubber.

I'm a NATO and bracelet guy. Mesh is also okay for me. Don't like leather on most watches. Yet haven't pulled a trigger on rubber. Maybe would love that, but every I think of buying a rubber strap, I just get a couple more NATOs
