I have been collecting my whole life... live in NYC and have never heard of this brand until I joined this site. Are they like your version of Steinhart?
I love the look of their Gemini Chrono. I'm just having a hard time justifying $700 CAD for a Seagull ST19 watch... I know there's more going on there than the movement, but the movement is core.
I'd happily pay more for a Selita based Chrono from them though! They'd give Baltic and Nivada Grenchen a run for their money then for sure!
They are based in NYC but there is no showroom or store that you would have noticed (outside of being sold at Grand Central Watches when they have them in stock)
Oh, semantics! Well, while Steinhart is well known for their good quality direct design copies of popular watches and have some more original designs, our lack of capability of using "homage" the right way, brings us into impossible debates and comparisons. Lorier does make homages. But true homages in the right sense of the word. They don't hide this fact but instead make sure you know the watches they homage and how the influence their design and own brand identity. I like both brands for their own merits but personally only have had first hand experience with Lorier. Great people behind and while I sold the watches I got from them for several reasons I think they have awesome pieces.
Do you subscribe to any watch channels or read any watch blogs? They are one of the biggest and well regarded microbrands out there, not just on WatchCrunch. I would encourage you to go to Windup in October and check them (and others) out.
Lorier is fantastic. Vintage design language with modern materials and construction. One of the best brands that blend the old and new. My Neptune uses a 9 series Miyota and I love it. They also have great customer service. I think word of mouth is their primary ad campaign... and it works!... most of the time, lol.

I will add that Lorenzo and Lauren are great to speak with. They are quite possibly the best-for-your-buck out there

They are one of the best value Microbrands out there right now. I own 12 Loriers and am a huge fan of their design asthetic.

I would say their designs are a lot more original than your typical Steinhart
Uhhh Steinhart they are not.. 😆😂
They clearly show which three historical pieces influenced the design, and in fact are quite open about their ethos..
Classical watches at an affordable price point.
With the added benefit of having an acrylic crystal.
Firmly on the affordable end, and Lorenzo and Lauren Ortega are not only good peeps, they are active in growing watch enthusiasm.
I am a fanboy, for a multitude of reasons. So take what I say with the usual salt.
For all around uses, that are surprisingly tough and elegant, you'd be hard pressed to beat them without straying into clone territory.
Also this...👀🤏🏻🤔😉
In good fun mind you.. 😆.
Steinhart they are not. Lorier has designs inspired by vintage watches, not copies of them.

No, definitely not steinheart, their development team just consists of a photocopier.
Lorier does make original, albeit huge influences from current and past designs.
You have to remember there are alot of watch companies that aren't available or have no recognition on the U.S. For example, have you ever of Titoni?

I didn't even know they'd released that many models yet. Unless you have multiple colors.
That right there...
They are basically top in their game when it comes to neo-vintage watches. If they are homages, it’s not in the stupid sense watch people use it.

Love titoni
I live in NYC too and had no idea about them. Every time I see the name mentioned here, I subconsciously think of L'Oreal and move on. 😅
anywho... they are too small for me, I really won't wear anything smaller than 42 these days

Fair play to you
