I have both, and like them both. The watch head on both are nice, but the Tudor is better finished. The bracelet is much nicer on the Tudor. Unfortunately the clasp on the Sinn is a rattling piece of garbage that doesn't belong on a $600 watch, let alone an $1,800 one. The Tudor clasp is fantastic, although strangely long for the size of the watch.
I plan to keep both, but if I had to choose one it would be the Tudor. I also have a bit of FOMO from not getting one of the tegimented Sinn models, if they make a 38mm one.
BTW, you are likely to get a SW200 in the Tudor now days.
Do modern Reduced models still have the buttons offset from the crown? I think that would bother me more than servicing costs.
That offset pushed me towards an Auto Date, but I was only looking at used models. I'm not sure the Auto Date really scratches the same itch though, plus I have small hands and find the crown miniscule and painful to use.
I don't know the circumstances, but you shouldn't fault someone that's owned a watch for a year or more on selling it. Some couples get divorced faster than that.
I thought pretty hard about buying one, but would prefer a smaller diameter, and hate the date window. The lack of microadjust was the final nail in the coffin. I really don't like the angular bezel on the Skyline either.
I ended up with a blue BB36.
