Feeling annoyed…

I follow quite a number of youtubers myself as they do provide very good content information most of the time.

Recently i saw a review of a content maker. Reviewing one of the Rolex watches. I briefly remembered this person actually had the similar version of the latest watch the person acquired. From the video the person was honest about selling the watch prior to getting the latest version of the watch from an AD. To me i felt that the latest version of the watch was just an improve movement and aesthetically it looks 98% similar. I’m pretty sure the person sold the previous gen for a nice profit and made a re buy of a similar watch at an AD. Maybe i am just feeling salty about it…. But it does kinda annoys me when this person sells and reap a profit to rebuy the same watch. Anyone feeling the same or am i just salty? to me it sucks all the fun out of collecting and i feel sorry to the guy who happen to buy the watch just so he wanted to enjoy that very piece he was unable to attain at a over retail price. Apologies for the rant! Peace watch lovers!

The best way to deal with it is to not worry about what other people do with their stuff.

If you can't get the watch you want for whatever reason, manage your expectations, and stop looking for what you can't get.

I would not worry too much about it. Rolex sells so many watches, the act of one influencer isn't going to change anything. Hell, the act of all of them wouldn't change anything.

Also, keep in mind, if they have a youtube channel, the watch industry is their livelihood. Buying and selling watches is part of what pays their bills.

I watch youtube reviews to get a complete 3D view of the watch I am intending to buy which is not possible through a site....I listen to the reviews and sometimes feel that youtubers post content without in-depth research....old timers like me who started life before watches went smart rely on my own research before taking the plunge...

The whole Rolex situation is ridiculous thank God I've never liked them and never will. As for youtubers theirs alot of bigger YouTubers I won't watch anymore, I find the smaller YouTubers give more honest reviews.

The situation might be ridiculous but sometimes people get fortunate by accident. I‘m definitely getting salty vibes here: I didn’t plan on my Milgauss gaining value, so if I used it to fund something else would that offend you? If I had a YouTube channel and did it would that offend you more? I think you might want to focus your energies elsewhere.

I don't know the circumstances, but you shouldn't fault someone that's owned a watch for a year or more on selling it.  Some couples get divorced faster than that.

Hey thanks for your comment! I think maybe you got me wrong. I totally understand if one has gone bored and sold a watch and fund it for another new toy. Having a youtube channel doesn’t bother me either alot of great content makers out there. I am more concern as a collector for one person who really wants it something badly but doesn't get it. While some gets it flip it and rebuy and flip. It is just sad. Definitely will focus on my energy elsewhere, but just feeling annoyed by flippers.

It would probably annoy me. Just one of the many reasons I don't watch 'YouTubers'. Then again, a lot of things annoy me!!!
