New here ✌️

Hi! I'm new here. Just wanted to share this microbrand I've started a couple of years back. It's the first Swiss made watch by a Filipino company--The Janus Genesis ref 44075.

You bet! We're looking to manufacture some of the parts in the Philippines soon like the bezel, case, dial, and bracelet. We'll keep the movement Swiss tho. Any design inspiration you have is welcome as we've started looking into our second design already.

That is awesome to hear! I am Filipino too living in the US. I’d love to see some design elements that are distinctly Filipino! The microbrand market is so crowded and it can take a lot to stand out.

Wow kabayan! If you look at the Janus logo, which you can see on our website or here https://www.instagram.com/janusrelos/

You can see that it is taken from the ray of the sun from our flag at the same time symbolizing Janus, the Greek god with two faces.

·

Welcome! Lovely looking watch! 😍

·

Welcome and best of luck!

·

I would suggest losing at least 1 line of text at the bottom, but would probably just remove the bottom 2 lines

·

Welcome!

·

Did I miss it? I don't see a price. BTW, beautiful website, very well done!

Janus is one hella cool name

·

Sorry but how is it a Swiss watch if it’s made in the Phillipines? That’s not to say a great watch can’t come from the Phillipines!

·

The Genesis is a great-looking watch!

·

Welcome! Thanks for introducing us to your watch brand.

Is the website an e-commerce? I couldn’t find the way to purchase the watch 🤔

It's only available in a few select stores in Cebu. If you're interested, you can message me privately and see what we can do.

Thanks!

I understand why you go "Swiss Made" and all, we do have all the experience and machinery here. But, I would like to see a "Designed in Philipines "to make your watches unique. Now, you're like one in a million.

Are you planning to produce the watches in the Philippines one day? I would like to see a "Philippine Made" one day. That would set you apart from others.

Can I suggest losing the "Helium Escape Valve" on the dial? I think the dial would be a bit cleaner without it.

Lastly, 2500 CHF is a high price for a diver with a SW200. How do you plan to market it, why should we buy this watch over one at some other brand?

I hope to see more of you in the future, good luck.

That's the goal! We plan to eventually manufacture the parts in the Philippines in the future.

Welcome to WC.

Are you going to make smaller size watches like 39 or 38 mm diameter?

We're looking into it for our next design!

Yeah good question. So we partnered with a Swiss company to make the watches for us and then bring it to the Philippines.

Ah yeah. We'll take note of the helium release valve on the dial if should we decide to release another dive watch.

Good question about the price and the short answer is: I know it's quite pricey but we want to inspire people in the Philippines to dream bigger dreams. With that, we want to market ourselves in the luxury industry. If you can name me a Filipino brand in the luxury segment, there's the reason. Because no one is doing it. So some day as we manufacture some of the parts in our small island in Cebu and be somehow climbing the ladder, I want Filipinos to be able to say, "Kaya ko rin 'yan." or "I can also achieve that." So we're focused on that story and what the Janus Genesis symbolizes.

That was clear, thank you.
