Watches are my hobby, passion, and a great distraction from work. I’m glad to finally share a platform with others that have the same addiction as I do.
Watches have always interested me but I truly got into the hobby when I was in college. I knew I wanted to stand out from the rest of my peers both in college and in the business world since everyone wears a smart watch.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
first one I remember owning was my Warner Bros. Bugs Bunny baseball watch. I can’t believe that I still have it and it still runs. The darn thing is still in minty shape considering I was a wild child growing up.
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
My Nixon 51-30. It’s a beast of a watch. It survived 2 near death accidents on my motorcycle and it was always my grandma’s favorite watch because of its large size and how heavy it was. I’ll never part ways with it.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Go with your heart not with the crowds.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
I’ve always had a soft spot for vintage watches. Lately I’ve been keeping an eye on watches that stand out in a crowd like Mr. Jones.
