To be honest, the amount of tinkering and the achievement is awesome, but this is not what I look for in a digital watch. Let me explain: Digital watches with just the time displayed are looking cheap like those watches embedded in pens and all sorts of stuff in the 80s and 90s. The ratio between case and module seems off and it reminds me of fashion watches which try to look bold but only are housing a small quartz movement. And lastly: Digital watches are all about buttons and features. That’s why I love them. If there is some good backlight and waterproofing included: Even better. This way, it looks more like a design piece which happens to have a cheap watch module inside. Please take this only as my opinion, not as an offensive comment! If this is what you love, huge respect for making it this far!
This is a true save from the dead! I can feel your anger and frustration just by looking at the pcb... Very well done! This feeling of sucess if the lcd finally works is unbeatable.
