It's STILL my birthday!!!
Holy crap! So much watch goodness the last couple of days.
As I posted about already, my daughter took me to dinner last night on my birthday. Tonight a couple of friends took me to dinner for my birthday.
I'm all about a generic chain restaurant. So I chose Olive Garden. It was a fun, boisterous dinner. Lots of smack talk back and forth. Jokes and laughter. Chatter about jobs and family's.
Then my best friend put my gift on the table. He's like family to me. But not into watches. I'm sure every watch enthusiast can relate. You start talking watches and for the first three or four minutes there's genuine interest in their eyes. And then the glaze hits. He's that guy. God bless him for trying though. So I'm sure you can appreciate how surprised I was when I reached into my colorful little gift bag and pulled this out
I've been eyeballing this watch online for weeks. I knew someone would snap it up eventually but still I was bummed when I saw it had sold.
It's not going to be everyone's cup of tea but I FREAKING LOVE IT!
It looks pretty handsome on that wrist!
I had a bad experience with a scammer this week (I posted about that too). But all in all it's been a freaking crazy good watch week!

That is a great present. Seem to recall looking at some Oris literature from the late 1990s or 2000s from an ad who carried Oris. Is that watch from that period?
