If I can't nerd out and talk someone's ear off about the watch in some way it loses my interest. I definitely lose interest in a watch if the only thing you can tell me about it is how much it costs.

When ı bought my Hamilton murph story was one of the deciding factors
Finishing is pointless and its a bad excuse to ask for high prices. My main reason for chosing a watch is the question:
What am I looking for. I usually have something specific in mind when looking for a watch. Like I did with my first mechanical chrono, fist dive watch, racing style chrono etc. Then I start looking at what brand can provide me what I am looking for, for a reasonable price.

Pretty set that my next watch will be a White dial dress watch. Likely Max Bill.
Mostly there is no single important thing, it's just the overall appeal which can include the above sometimes but many other things also.

Design, if it's ugly or dull then I don't care who's name is on the dial.
E. All of the above...plus dial design
Performance is pretty important to me.
Omega fan so obviously brand rates highly
Finish not so important, durability and ruggedness are more of a priority 🤔
