My 30th gift to myself - 126334 blue💙
Always wanted a higher quality time peice. Always owned Seikos and Bulovas but when it came to my 30th i wanted to treat myself. I went into my local AD the previous year knowing it would take a while to come. They told me 6 to 8 months to come in. So i waited, a whole year went by with me constantly asking for updates and my position in the que. Always got the same answer "it should be soon".
I ended up going to the secondary market and got it the day i put the call out for one. This monday that just past was the first time i head back from Rolex and they called to tell me that had a datejust available and if i was still interested. I asked the spec on it and it was a 36mm white roman with a smooth bezel no where near the datejust i wanted.
So what i learnt from this whole run around is by it now and dont waste what precious time you have waiting.

Honestly i felt like a got a great price compared to what other dealers were asking and absolutely i think with the price increase i paid alittle bit over retail with tax.

Personal i think they make a wonderful product i just hate the run around you get when you try to give them money. The ADs are trash and in my experience treat you like trash. That i cant get around. The jubilee is gorgeous for sure happy your liking that setup.

Ain’t nobody got time to play dealer games like getting asked to buy watches you don’t want, convincing them you’re a “real enthusiast,” opaque wait lists, etc. I am considering a 36mm Explorer for my 10 year anniversary next spring and I plan to go grey market. Was there a significant cost difference between MSRP and what you paid for yours?
