Which watch completes this three watch collection?

Looking for a blue diver to complete this three watch collection. I already own the Speedy, and will be purchasing the Cartier Santos next year. In 2025 I plan to add a blue diver. With pricing not being a concern (hopefully) which of these three would best complete the collection, and why?

I’d say the blue Pelagos.

·

I like the Breitling

·

Added the watches to choose from:

  • Tudor Pelagos 42mm

  • JLC Polaris

  • Breitling Superocean 42mm

I like the thicker hand sets on the Tudor and Breitling to offset the Cartier and the Moonwatch, but I like the Arabic numerals on the Polaris for the same reason.

·

I vote for the Breitling

The pelagos has a proper tool watch aesthetic and completes your two other watches the best.

·

Breitling superocean 42

Why

Because I love Breitling especially the superocean range, and it’s gorgeous 👍🏻

Question: Have you considered the Sinn U1 Blue?

·

Does it have to be one of those three? There are some other amazing choices at those price points and above. Blancpain FF, Tudor FXD, which I prefer over the standard Pelagos (if you’re okay with fixed lugs).

Out of your choice, the JLC has my vote.

·

I own and love the Pelagos. One of my favorite watches and it would look great in the collection. However, if given the choice of the three, the JLC is simply on a different level and I would take that one if price was not a factor. That also puts you in Sub and GO SeaQ territory. I would get the SeaQ over the Polaris, simply because I prefer the bezel and movement.

I think the Pelagos would be a great third, as it could easily fill the roll of vacation/swimming/camping/slumming in PJs watch.

Yes, and no. I am not a fan of the brutalist styling of Sinn, though I do appreciate the pure tool nature.

$10k is my limit. It doesn’t have to be those three, those are just the ones I’m considering currently, but I have some time to change my mind. I haven’t ruled out the FXD, but marginally prefer the regular Pelagos aesthetic.

JLC.

•Keeping in the no date theme.

•Clean design w/internal bezel

•And this is very ocd but each watch has a different number of crowns/pushers 😂

·

Imo I'd go with the Pelagos because it has bigger recognition in the watch community. Why don't you try something from Sinn? 203 or 206 are amazing underrated watches.

Although Sinn watches are excellent tool watches, I'm not a fan of their design.

JLC!!! Why, cause it's a JLC! And that model is pure 🔥

Didn’t your dream just come true with this new omega release?

Unfortunately, no.

So I really do like that watch, but it doesn’t align to this three watch collection. I do appreciate the suggestion though.

·

I love the Pelagos in 39mm specifically. It's a great package for a reasonable price all things considered!

I still haven't been bitten by the GO bug. I really respect the brand from a distance but I think I'll warm up to it once I see some in person!

If you see the work and especially the movement in person it will click.

·

I’d definitely go with the pelagos. An icon well suited for this trio imo

·

I’d go for the JLC. It’s a much cleaner dial and straddles sport and dress well.

·

JLC

or try a Vacheron Constantin
