I'm Back With Another Wild Strap Hands-On Review: Longines Mini DolceVita x Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks
Apparently, it's all about the straps these days. Here's a SUPER PINK (Hi, Barbie!) Longines Mini DolceVita made in honor of the 150th Anniversary of the Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks that I spent some time with recently.
A proceed of the sales will go to the Horses and Hope Charity.

Jeez! That is an in your face color. Good cause for sure. Is there any historical reason for the color? Where I live, and that is perhaps international, we have the pink to raise money for science against breast cancer.

Yep, two reasons.
That pink shade is the official color of the Kentucky Oaks race. Plus, you're right, there's a connection to breast cancer; the Horse and Hope charity was "established to increase breast cancer screening, education, and treatment referrals among Kentucky's horse industry"
Totally in your face, but the strap is easy to switch out :)

I think this is the first Dolce Vita I've really liked the look of, largely because it doesn't look an elongated Cartier Tank. It leans hard into the art deco heritage (that Longines is completely entitled to) and I think it does it well
I think the strap is crazy but that's probably the point. Quick change means you can tone it up or down.
