Have we all become pointless without DeeperBlue's Bites?
Anyone else feel like we're all drifting aimlessly from one pointless week to another pointless week doing the same thing over and over again pointlessly with occasional arguments over even more pointless things?

I miss @DeeperBlue she rounded up the week, shouted out the great posts I missed and did a 100 other things. It must have been almost a full time job. I hope she is healthy happy and feeling appreciated, because he is.

Lol makes sense, I do miss the weekly update
One lesson here is the value of human curation and the limits of AI. One of the features of WC is that the "Top" feed often gives precedence to some fairly inane posts - along the lines of "Wotz ur next watch, post pics 😜" - whilst some very interesting and well written posts can drop like a stone. Who knows what parameters in the algorithm cause this.
The value of the Bites emails was therefore in picking out some of the more interesting comment which you might have missed across the week, and also in acting as a focal point. The emails also provided some loose direction to the discussions.
I am amazed that someone with a full time job and a family might be willing to dedicate so much time to performing that task - alongside also organising photo competitions and games to amuse everyone!

Deeperblue used to post weekly bites, sort of compiling popular posts and summarising them in an humorous way. Also running a photography contest, creating community games etc. she’s MIA at the moment.
