What is your Grail watch?

My Grail watch is the Credor Eichi II. Precious metal case, Spring Drive, porcelain dial with hand painted indexes and logo.

It is a watch I will never be able to buy, but it is nice to dream.

How about you, what is your Grail?

Jaquet Droz grande second papillonne. I mean, by the time I could actually consider it, they may have different patterns. But yeah, the enameling is delicious.

My Grail is my 2nd gen. Monster, the made in Japan one, Nickname 'Dracula' . Bought new, complete set, but had 2 months of hazzle till it runs normal. But thx to that i love it even more

I thing a grail should be something through a great deal of effort and your own hard work you can acquire.

I think dream watches might discribe mine I’ve got a list of watches and category’s of when they might be next in line and at the bottom is lotto win and I don’t do the lotto even 😂

These are mine but that credor is worthy of the list 😍

I love that, i just think it would be a little too small for me.

For me, should my numbers come up the first watch i'd pick up would have to be a no date sub.

not the best watch by any stretch and it is overpriced for what it but i cant help myself

I've tried on the Eichi. It's nice and all, but I don't get it, call me philistine. Why pay that much for a hand painted dial that looks like a printed dial? When I look at it, I don't see $50k+.

To answer the question, I don't have a single unobtanium grail. There are any number I might be interested in, like the Lange One, or a Zeitwerk to go completely over the top, or a Ressence, or a very fancy duoface Reverso, or...

I am naturally drawn to basic watches. With the Eichi it is very simple and understated and I am impressed with the craftsmanship that goes into it.

I own a Nomos, so it's not like I don't like simple designs. But nothing about the Eichi says mid to high five figures to me. Maybe my eye isn't discerning enough to see what's so special about the finishing or painting on the dial.

At the moment it's either the recent Tag Heuer Skipper or the Glasshutte Original PanoMatic in forest green

I Have a long list realy long😬🤣platinum Arabic daydate, patek calatrava breguet numerals, patek worldtime, could continue but I'd take this at the moment if top down screaming out money ain't a thing 👌

I actually handled that watch and tried it on at the Grand Seiko Boutique... it's pretty amazing, very solid and the hand painted dial is crazy in person

I have not had the chance to see it in person, yet.

It's pretty awesome, I think it was MSRP on the 80-100k range which seems kinda high... might be some better options at that price but it is a piece of artwork in the hand

Ifi could afford $80k I would be looking at stuff like a platinum Rolex Day Date with diamond baguettes .. but the Credor is art, they were telling me all about it, the dial takes a really really long time to make by hand, movement is finished by hand to a really high level etc..
