Seiko 8F56 movement

Does anyone have any experience with a Seiko with the 8F56-00D0 movement? From cruising ebay, it looks like it was used in some Alpinist models and a few other watches. High accuracy quartz with GMT and perpetual calendar functions. I am intrigued to say the least.

From what I've heard they're reliable and usually, go several years between battery changes (think I read 10 years somewhere but could be wrong) and can still be serviced by seiko. However, resetting the perpetual calendar after a battery change can be tricky (there's youtube videos on it so definitely doable if you fancy it). My personal favourite, for what it's worth, is the full lume one in the first pic of your post.

You should che out the SSASS limited edition of these Alpinists (SBCJ023) if you haven't already!

I have seen the SSASS limited edition before. It is really nice, but pretty expensive on the used market.
