Adding a new gem to my collection: the Universal Geneve ref. 842114, featuring a manual wound movement from the 1980s. Feeling incredibly fortunate to have acquired this timepiece with its sharp edges, a sign of its unpolished condition. Owning a Universal Geneve has been a long-standing desire, and this piece fulfills that dream perfectly. The size, weight, and the way it sits on my wrist make it truly special.

They really did understated elegance about as well as anyone. That gentle arc on the case side so that it's not a blocky rectangle or a bulbous tonneau but just a pleasing inobtrusive shape does so much, and it's echoed on the Roman numerals.
In the 80s I had the Citizen Quartz copy ! Now I know what it was copying !! Nice 👍🏼
