That’s a beautiful SMP! I’ve been on the hunt for my birth year watch for some time and haven’t found anything that really speaks to me just yet. Been fun so far!🤙❤️
I was born in 1970 so most stuff that ancient is very expensive or knackered (bit like me 🤣) so I've cheated and gone for the Seiko 1970 reissue divers -
But I'll get a genuine 1970 Omega when I'm feeling a bit more flush. 😉
Sicura Cordura was bought by Breitling decades ago... If the Baumgartner movement breaks, it's over . No parts are available my watchmaker won't open it lol. Thanks great Sir

This Omega Genève Dynamic was worn by my father and acquired in the early 1970s, before the quartz boom. Just a bit scratched on the crystal - any advice whether it can be polished??

That’s a nice one. I have watches older and younger than me, but none the same age.

It's hard to find a watch that's exactly the same age as you!! Luck plays a big role

Yup, and even if you can find one you like from your year of birth, it gets even more difficult if you want to get down to the month.
That's a bute!

My CWC has 5 years on me. It was born in 1990. Tbh I think it looks better than me
I bought this, because it’s papers showed it being first purchased within a very short period of time around when I was born:
The closest I come is a 1956 Bulova 23 Jewel. It was from 1956, I'm a 1955 model.
Hint…..first year sapphire was introduced in this model

Vintage OMEGA watches are good looking!!!

I keep trying, but 1965 was a festival of dull little watches, at least it is in any price range I can afford.

Born in late September 67, I recently got this Lord Marvel born in April 68 about 7 or 8 months later.
