Q: How did you get into watch collecting?
Always had watches and liked them. Starting with a flik flak, being exposed to Dad's collection and love of watches. The collecting bug hit in 2012, when I started earning my own money and bought my first auto, an SKX007J
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
Flik Flak blue and yellow dial with a rainbow strap. First Automatic when i started collecting truly, was the Seiko SKX007J
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
My Omega Constellation 2003, which was Dad's, that he gave me as he wasnt wering it much. It was obtained by swapping a pristine 89 Rolex blue dial ss/gold datejust that he got as an anniversary gift from my mum, over the counter in 2003 (he still regrets that). Grown to love the Connie, which in its own right, is a great, elegant piece, and which I wore when I got married to represent my parents in that moment.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Always buy the watch for yourself, how it makes you feel, and not to impress others. Dont rely on the watch to tell others about you, dont let the watch be bigger than your personality.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Recently, Franck Muller, Longines, Cartier, Rolex also, again..
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
Still not sure about this. It was the SARB033. I havent bought one, and its out of production, but not worth double the money now..content with current line up so far
