Agreed. And I think the black markers look hot AF.

·

Of course it was going to be a while Moonwatch. And of course it costs an extra grand.

·

Technically, it only costs 100 more than the black + sapphire one. This one also has the transparent caseback (sapphire front and back) with applied markers.

·

Certainly a very lovely watch but not exactly visionary and inspired … or worth the teasing build up.

I know several were hoping for a panda dial which might have been a bigger news story?

I think the big deal around this was Omega doing something so similar to the original watch worn by Daniel Craig recently, which is the Canopus Gold one. I read some comments about owners of that Canopus Gold getting upset by the idea of a white model in stainless steel, for obvious reasons. I do like the look of this new one better than the gold one (the black markers...). But I agree, not much innovation/creativity from their part.

Looks pretty great. I wish my panda had come with the transparent back...

·

I want one 😭😭 !!!!!!

·

It's gorgeous

Dial looks great and the Daniel Craig nickname lends a bit of extra cool factor. The red Speedmaster is sure to be a fan favourite. The black applied hour markers make it more special compared to the painted markers on the black dial. They also make it very legible, which had been the problem with the Alaska Project.

·

I've always found the black one a bit austere and boring. Blasphemous, I know. But this one is quite striking. I'm more into white dials than black dials myself, so I'm biased. The touch of red on the dial makes the watch, IMO.

·

Cool

Somethin' tells me this'll sell well.

Oh yes, for sure! I see this being sold out all the time and being as hard to get as the #speedytuesday one. I guess we'll see.

Picking up the Daniel Craig on Sunday! I’ll post photos and write up a review comparing it to my Canopus 3861 as well as my Tokyo 2020 Panda!

Hey Rob, is this strap on a deployment strap or regular buckle?

Gotta say, I saw the Alaska Project in the flesh when I went to the Omega Museum in Biel and I liked it a lot. Looks way better in person.

Don’t get me wrong. I think Alaska Project is amazing but the hour markers are a little faint and hard to read (at least on the reissue).

Yep! That's true!

I wouldn’t call this a panda but it is clean…

I’m just obsessed with white dial watches these days. Pandas or none. Thanks for the comment! 😎👌🏼

·

I received a call from the Omega boutique today asking me if I wanted to purchase one...I passed.

Beautiful watch, but not really something I desire. I have a limited capacity for all-white dials.

Very nice 👏

Understood! Yes, that's my motto, too these days. I guess it helps that there seems to be more availability across the board. It's hard to say no, particularly for those of us not looking (or willing) to flip. I buy to wear so if I say "yes" I truly mean it.

That 12 o'clock marker though 😀

It's been there... you just notice it more because it is black. 😆

Never been a big chronographs fan, but this is a genuinely beautiful watch 👌

Those hands and applied markers, remind me of the white dial Globemaster.

Anyway, if I ever were to buy a speedy, this would be a top contender.

I have five chronos. Never use the chrono function. 😆
