NWA: In need of 21mm strap suggestions

I Just bought my first luxury watch, the Longines Spirit Zulu Time 39mm, and am over the moon with the purchase. Photos really do not do this one justice so if you are on the fence, check it out in person if you can. Only complaint 2 days in is the odd number lug width. Who is your go to company for odd number lug width straps? Specifically leather or rubber options.

Nice pic. I really am interested but can’t decide between the blue and green. Have to see it in the metal. Did you see all three options in person?

·

My SM300 is 21mm lugs, 22mm straps fit 👍

·

Congratulations!

21mm lug width on 39mm watch is a very odd combination. I thought they made these with 20mm lug width.

Vario SG, Fluco or Etsy. On Esty I recommend Harpy Leather, custom made and takes a bit of time but the straps are great.

Oh, I’m also looking to get this watch one day. The 39mm is a Godsend for my 6.5 inch wrist. I really love the Longines Legend, but I don’t want another 36mm watch and 42mm is too big.

·

I hope you’ll excuse me if you think this idea is idiotic or insanely expensive, but I bought this watch on Longines’ own leather strap, and I love it. The stack height is very compact for a deployant, and it has the best on-wrist micro adjustment of any watch I’ve ever had.

I did see both the blue and green, not the black though. I honestly thought I would go with the green but the blue "pops" a lot more in the light. The green still looks fantastic but it is just a bit more subdued.

The legend diver is another great watch. I have the same sized wrist and the Zulu wears well. I'd say the Zulu does wear closer to a 40 than a 39 though for what's it's worth.

I was considering that but the price was a bit steep. Would you say that it was worth the buy for you?

I got the watch on the strap rather than the bracelet, so I didn’t pay extra for it (I don’t generally like bracelets). I’m sure it’s expensive as hell unless you can talk the AD into giving it to you or giving you a discount.

·

Bracelet is great for summer.

Veblenist, Molequin, Strap Tailor, and Delugs all sell 21mm straps with and without quick release bars in many colors, styles, and materials. I own from all and highly recommended.

Veblenist has also made me some custom open-ended 21mm straps for a fixed bar TAG too.

·

Congratulations on a beautiful timepiece.

·

I've bought at least 12 leather straps from finwatchstraps.com and have never been disappointed. They make bespoke straps in about 60 kinds of leather for very reasonable prices starting at about 60 €.

It’s a bit expensive but I’m thinking the Artem blue loopless sailcloth strap would pair well with that longines. I just did a quick Google search and sure enough someone’s already done a similar pairing. I think I’d go with blue with blue stitching option though.

Another option: I had TJCleather on Instagram/etsy custom make me a strap for my long discontinued Bell & Ross that has completely messed up proportions. 21mm, curved quick release springbars, 18mm buckle, custom length, shell cordovan, and color/stitching of my choice for like $110. Turned out great.

Dude that pic is 🔥. If that doesn't do it justice I need to see in person.

I wanted one for the longest time, but the only time I'd see myself using it practically would be on trips overseas, in which case I fear it would get stolen or get my ass mugged. Figure I could spend that money on a different watch instead.

Good idea. I was looking at them but never had a sailcloth strap before so I was a little hesitant. Looks great I'm the pic though

·

I appreciate all the advice on the straps. Lots of great options out there that I was not aware of!

·

I am looking at the Zulu Time 39 too! I tried Delugs on my other watches. I think you can give them a try.

And may I ask how long does it take for the date to change? I heard it takes 26 minutes after midnight.

·

Check out Delugs or Veblenist

·

Always wanted the Zulu time now in a better size for my wrist. Definitely have to go try one on

Mine was actually closer to 35 min but since I'm not usually up that late it's not a deal breaker.

I see thank you very much!

·

Congratulations, great watch.

·

Honestly aliexpress retailers make decent straps for all sorts of odd number sizes, I would personally get some type of rubber strap for the Spirit ZT

·

Congrats! 🎉🎊🥂
