Shall I pull the trigger?

Alright I have been very patient, and I have finally made up my mind and I do feel like I want one, for some reason I feel like this is going to be a good buy, the question shall I stick to the plastic band, or shall I go stainless steel? Obviously, there will be price difference.

Should you buy it? Absolutely. Everyone should own an AE-1200 (in the opinion of your humble narrator, anyway). Personally, I'd stick with the resin strap rather than the metal one. It's surprisingly comfortable for such an inexpensive watch, and I've always thought the metal bands they use look and feel obviously cheap.

I have the stainless steel band. It looks better, but he's right about the band being cheap, just rolled links that aren't the easiest things to adjust. It is a great watch no matter which you choose.

·

To some arguably the best watch ever made. Extremely affordable. Personally I think it should be in every watch collection.

Get the watch.

As far as the band is concerned,Vario makes custom fit leather straps specifically for this watch for 28 USD.

Those straps on that look hot

I just got one of these a few weeks ago for less than $20. It’s my only digital watch. It is comfortable and legible. I really enjoy seeing it on my wrist. The resin strap is fine by me, but you can obviously have some fun with strap switching if you wish.

If it’s a financial stretch, forget it of course, but if you can afford it it’ll serve you well for a long time.

·

buy one and notch the ends of a leather strap to fit for comfort. This worked great on my 5600.

so many strap options, get the resin and have some fun

·

If you get one, get one because it's the model you actually want, not because it's one of the "cool" Casios on the internet.

Personally, I'd lean more towards the W-800HM-3AVCF, as it has a more legible screen without the fluff.

I got two straps from them. Such a simple and affordable change. Makes the watch look much better

I have two of them. I changed the straps also.

·

Definitely get one. It’s a great watch out of the box and fun to mod.

Without the fluff it's just another Casio.

I honestly Liked the idea of being able to tell dual time while I travel (not that I travel much) but it looked cool does most of what I would like a watch to do and it's cheap 🤣 the W-800HM-3AVCF, is definitely going on the watch list.

·

It's a good addition to any collection. I might look into one myself and I'm not really a digital kind of person but it's very useful. Though if I'm honest world travel is not on my menu in the future.

·

Resin.. then one day you can mod the hell out of it!

·

A No Brainer 🧠 ! As Arnold says “Do It “ !!!

That model is in my wish list. I do intend to get it myself eventually . If the price is right and you really like it and need it then sure... Shoot...!
