I have reached my goals

With my newest acquisition the Rolex Submariner Starbucks/Cermit I feel I have reached my peak. When I began watch collecting I was probably around 26 years old. I saved up for what felt like a year and stretched everything I had to get a Longines Hydroconquest. I wanted to grow my collection but I lacked the funds as a college student so I started my own YouTube channel(link below) a few years later. This way I might get to express my opinions about watches, meet fellow enthusiasts, and get some watches to at least play with and try on wrist. My genius move payed off and pretty quickly I was able to shoot with watches I only dreamed of like the ulysse Nardin freak.

Since then I graduated college and got my first big boy job, I am a doctor of physical therapy. My watch collection quickly grew over the span of 3-4 years to include Hamilton, tissot, various micro brands, tag, and what was my pride and joy at the time the omega Seamaster professional. A big step up in my collection. Then I thought I would try to do the unthinkable, reach out to rolex ADs with no purchase history and tell them I want watches but arnt going to buy anything else. Fast forward I ended up with three of my dream Rolexes for retail. My bet paid off again, somewhere along the lines I added the Panerai on a whim and feel in love with it. My collection grew to 17 at its hight but I winded it down to these core 6 and managed to do so without losing any money. I now sit back and look at this 6 watch collection and feel complete. I don’t know what more I could ask for and I don’t even know how I ended up here. I never thought I’d be able to afford or own any of these dream level watches.

I am now 33 and while I don’t own a house I have paid off all of my student loan and own a 50k 2023 car I also paid off so I have no debt. As a husband and father I think it is time I sit back and enjoy the hobby without pulling the trigger on anymore watches myself for quite some time. I accuired all the above watches in the last 4 years and now I honestly feel like I should be responsible and refrain from making another watch purchase until I am 45-50. All of these watches are timeless and can be used as a one watch collection by their self so it’s time to make sure they all get their proper wrist time.

I might sell the omega, but I am not sure yet. Maybe the Panerai if I had to as well; however, While I have owned many watches these 3 Rolex and my seiko alpinist are MY watches. I sought them out, worked my ass off, and god granted them to me. I grew up pretty poor in the ghetto to two parents that were at one time homeless. To want any more is greedy.

Absolutely beautiful! What is your favourite Rolex? For myself I think out of their entire lineup, the Oyster perpetual remains my favourite

The green dial for rolex is a classy choice

It’s hard to say because they are all so similar yet so differnt. Right now I am pretty In love with the Starbucks because I just got it, however, if I had to pick I might say the OP. I love all of them but the OP is the most comfortable on wrist and I love that it’s time only and simple yet done at such a high level. The dial is amazing in person. I also think it’s the most versatile because it’s definitely capable of being active or being in water but it looks dressier than the other two.
