Which one would you go for? Steinhart Ocean 39 Vintage Gmt or Christopher ward c60 trident pro 600?

steinhart ocen 39 because of the vintage looks

Steinhart for me. I appreciate the CW but, it just doesn't do that"Thang"to me. When I look at that CW I feel like I needed just one more gulp of milk to really get that good hardy meal satisfaction....but it just wasn't there.

·

Steinhart every day.

Why?

Vintage looks

GMT

No stupid department store looking name/logo.

Yes that last one is petty, but 🤷‍♂️

·

I have to ask, and I’m not taking a shot at your choices, but why are you comparing a very colorful Steinhart GMT with a very dull (maybe not the right word) CW three hander, when CW offers GMT watches for similar prices? Seems like apples to oranges.

My pick of the two, the Steinhart, but if I’m being 100% honest, neither.

I compared them because the prices are pretty similar. The CW c60 gmts cost considerably more, almost 2x the cost of the steinhart on a bracelet.

C60 all day. I dig the look albeit I’d wait until they uodate the dial with the logo instead of the words. To me, it fits more areas within life imho plus it looks awesome!

·

There's your answer

·

I'd go for the C60... and have twice.

·

Ward for me. Look at these hands, these indexes, and that bezel !

·

I think the Steiney is going to satisfy longer, that would be the case for me anyway.

·

I’d go for the CW, but that’s mostly because I have never been a fan of the Pepsi bezel.

·

The Steinhart.  I‘ve been eyeing that particular watch for years!

·

Cw is for me. they used to have one with a red bezel in 38mm size that tempted me many times.

·

The yellow lume on the steinhart concerns me. Its something that is really hard to do well, and if it’s not done well it’s going to bug you a lot.

·

CW easy choice. I think fauxtina is a fad that (hopefully imo) will be going out of style in the next couple of years, and Rolex homages don't really appeal to me. I'm a little pickier than most though, so don't let me stop you if you're in love with the Steinhart.

·

Why not take a look at the Christopher Ward Aquitaine or C65 Dartmouth?

I have the Steinhart 39 original aluminium bezel, I’ve had the ceramic bezel one as well but it just looked cheap (bezel not the watch)

it’s just a fantastic piece, you can argue about the ethics of copying Rolex but nearly every divers watch out there is a Rolex look alike.

·

out of these two, in my humble opinion Steinhardt 😀

·

Steinhart every time no question!

·

Having purchased five Christopher Ward watches, all of which I still own,  over the last decade there's no question I'd make that choice. I respect the Steinhart brand and own their  marine chronometer. But there is simply no question that CW provides more bang for the buck.
